I liked them, they don't have problems and they sound good, but the truth was I expected the low sounds to be heard better, that's why I give it that rating. I think that the provider or seller should point out that feature, perhaps comparing it with some other bass speaker and see what sound level to expect, would be my suggestion.

I installed these in my 2002 Honda CR-V front doors and they sound great! Even with the stock head unit they are still an improvement over OE, albeit some distortion at higher volumes. Swapping out the radio for something newer made these shine! I'm glad I bought these. I wish Crutchfield would have recommended these Kenwoods for the rear doors as well - they fit! Although I did leave off the supplied grilles (the door panel has built in grilles anyways). No problems.

Great sound quality from a trusted name brand for a good price. Some coaxial speakers allow you to aim the tweeter however this one is completely stationary. They were used as rear door fillers so that didn't matter all that much.

Installed into a Chevy work van replacing the original factory speakers one of which quit after 14yrs. I find these Kenwoods to be lacking in mid range. To me they sound flat and a bit muddy. When I adjust the stereo treble up a notch they end up sounding tinny and when I adjust the bass down a notch the sound washes out and still sounds tinny. Wish I had spent more and purchased better speakers

Very happy with the overall sound. I bought an amp to run these, but they are installed currently without it. The bass is not quite what I hoped, but overall quite nice. Depending on musical preference, you'll need an amp and a sub, but certain music should sound perfect without. I was afraid they'd be too bright, but I don't tire of listening to them. Of course it's useless to compare to stock, but I'm enjoying my car's factory deck for the first time. Installed in a 2020 Jetta for front and rear. Crutchfield indicated that they wouldn't fit in the front, but they did. I did overuse sound deadening, and I had to get a friend to help close and lock the door panel in place. Used with adapter plates, a foam insert cup that I used like a sealed enclosure in the rear and cut out a port in the front. The front seems to perform better. The factory head unit probably lacks the power to run these sealed, and I haven't looked up the air space requirements. Probably going to port these in the rear. Very balanced sound. I used Crutchfield's listen and compare with Sony WH-1000XM2 and while other speakers seemed more neutral, I selected these because I found myself just enjoying the musical samples. Sometimes flat is just that: flat. I would recommend these for people looking to spend up to $90 per pair. Because CF was wrong about fit, I might have enjoyed another speaker set better, but I want presented with many 6.5 inch speaker sets.
Pros: Power handling up to 100 watts RMS and 300+ peak watts per channel. Sounds quality is enjoyable. They pay plenty loud.
Cons: Slightly lacking in deeper bass. Sound isn't 'pure.' Not an Excelon level product.

2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
Ive long been researching how to create a beautifully balanced system for both home and auto and man, Kenwoods performance series is really blowing my mind. I have these coupled with the 6X9's of the same series and even though I upgraded from cheap stock speakers I could not speak more highly of these. Talk about full range...I'm hearing parts of music I didn't know was there. The clarity is stunning and once properly tuned I had to listen for hours. These are hooked into a pioneer Bluetooth/DVD receiver so if amplified they could be even better! I also have a 12" skar sub running 800-1200 watts for the lows. This sound is possibly the cleanest, most customizable and budget friendly setup a guy like me could ask for. Yeah Kenwood and yeah Crutchfield for making this process informative, straight forward and easy. 2501 thumbs up!
Pros: Excellent sound, loud or quiet with incredible range and easy install.
Cons: I guess I'm a lil disappointed I couldn't use the grilles that came with them. They look great but my car has prefab grilles on the doors and in the rear. I'm thinking I might customize the door panels and rear deck to show them off and add some more personal flavor so who knows?

Installation in rear doors of my 2019 Rav4 was quick and simple with the provided adapters. The speakers actually outperform the component speakers I installed in the front, and those cost two and half times as much as these. Great mids and highs, and decent bass for the size and cost. Combine it with a dedicated subwoofer and amp for awesome sound.

Upgraded to these in the soundbar of my TJ. Fit perfectly without having to make hole bigger to accommodate. Good sound and I can hear it over the road noise (soft top).

Dont know what all the lack of bass reviews are about. Installed in a 2010 HHR due to shot front speakers. Plenty of bass for 6.5 inchers. Nice highs, good midrange. Upgrade from factory with whizzer cones. Just got a Soundstream compact amp that I am about to put in just for some extra punch. Ordering another pair of these for the rear doors. All cars have different acoustics but some of the reviews sound like people wired things up wrong. Recommend these.

Good upgrade for the Ram. Had 11 year old factory 6X9s and upgraded with these to go along with my Kenwood DMX7706S. Not too many aftermarket 6X9s fit the front so went with these. Came with the adapter plates and harnesses free from Crutchfield. Clean sound. Can't wait to replace the rears with the 6X9 Kenwood KFC-6996PS. Install was very easy with these adapter plates. 20 minute job per door. Prices are better than the big online retailer so why keep paying the man, support these guys especially with their great customer support and videos.

These are fine for the money. They were the rear speakers in a pick up truck, so all I wanted was for them to not take away from the other components. They were fine for that.

These are nice speakers. With the instructions and adapters for wiring and mounting that came with them they were fairly easy to install in my 2003 Chevy Silverado front doors. My only criticism is that the instructions that came with the Metra 82-3002 speaker mounting adapters were pretty much worthless. There are some tabs that need to be cut off the adapters depending on your particular model of vehicle. I was able to find some more detailed instructions on the Cructchfield web site.

Nice sound, the GM OEM speakers had just come apart with age. These look to be much better quality.
Pros: Nice sound, replaces both the OEM bass / midrange and the OEM treeter.
Cons: A slight challenge to install on 2001 GM pickup. The 82-3002 speaker adaptors would not work with the Kenwood speakers, so I had to modify the original GM bracket to somewhat work and use screws.

Installed easy with the installation kit that came with them. Now I'm thinking about replacing the rears now. Crutchfield customer service recommended Kenwood KFC-4675C 4X6 speaker. That's my next project.....

Easy to install. Sound upgrade from factory was impressive. Not a lot of deep bass but was clear and tight with mids. Highs are very clear. I'm happy as usual with all Kenwood products. If your looking for competition grade these are not for you. If your looking to upgrade factory speakers these are great.

I had a 2011 VW jetta that 2 speakers stoped working and a third was blown. it was bad so i needed something. these kenwood KFC's have been perfect. they are much louder and clear then the stock speakers. they do not have loads of base but are an upgrade there also. The added wiring harness that is supplied and the mounts make it a very simple and easy job. I am very pleased with the whole set up.
Pros: good price. comes with all the need parts to install with ease, has a great sound and is a much loved upgrade over the stock.
Cons: they do not have the base that my store speakers and stereo of my 2004 VW Jetta Monsoon system had. I will come pair a lot of none sub added setups to that system.

These speakers are great price to performance ratio. After a short break in period they sound absolutely wonderful and are right at home in my car audio system. Their shallow mounting depth helps when you dont have much room between door and window. Use speaker baffles.

I installed those in the backdoors of my 2015 Jetta and the provided adapter made it really easy Those speakers performs very well for the price but doesn't compare to the excelon series that I like a lot more! I found those sounds too crisp because of the plastic tweeter. An amp is not necessary but would certainly help making them better The built quality is really good
