About the Metra 70-7306 Receiver Wiring Harness
Metra 70-7306
Metra 70-7306
This vehicle-specific wiring harness makes connections between your new car stereo and your car's electrical system. The harness allows you to connect the new stereo, providing connections for power and for four speakers. If you're installing a new receiver with a rear composite video input, you can retain the factory backup camera in your Hyundai or Kia. This harness also plugs into the ASWC-1 steering wheel control harness (sold separately), making it easier to retain your steering wheel audio controls.
First, attach the colour-coded wires on your Crutchfield-supplied harness to the wires from your new stereo. If you're not using a soldering iron, we recommend that you purchase some wire connectors to secure the connections. Check out our handy article on three ways to connect the wiring harness here.
Now, once this harness is connected to your new stereo, you'll be able to plug right into your car's factory radio connector. This harness makes installing your new stereo easier, and allows you to put the factory radio back when you sell your vehicle or return it at the end of the lease. A detailed instruction sheet comes with the harness. Warranty: 1 year.

Features
Vehicle Compatibility: This wiring harness is compatible with select 2017-up Hyundai & Kia vehicles.
Retains Factory Backup Camera: A male composite video connector within the wiring harness lets you retain your vehicle's factory backup camera. The composite video connector plugs into your aftermarket head unit's composite video camera input to allow video from your vehicle's factory backup camera to display on the aftermarket head unit's LCD screen.
Note: The Axxess AX-CAM6V (sold separately) is required in order to convert 12-volts DC to 6-volts DC for providing proper voltage for a 6-volt factory backup camera when installing an aftermarket radio.
Optional SWC Interface Module: This harness is pre-wired for the Axxess ASWC-1 Steering Wheel Control Interface (sold separately) which will retain your vehicle's factory steering wheel controls.

2017 Elantra Sport Everything works as advertised. Note that this doesn't connect steering wheel controls, it just makes it easier to hook up an adapter that does.
