The quality of these brackets are nice and they did line up well in my 2015 Lincoln MKZ however they are not deep enough so the speakers i bought to replace my factory ones were hitting on the window track inside the door and i was not able to replace my speakers at this time.

I was a bit taken back by how these were supposed to fit. I didn't see any instructions, but the package said they should have some. Two things: First, I needed to break the tabs off with my fingers to allow the speaker to fit. Second, I needed to buy some screws (like other reviews mention)

Fit the speaker and the door. But the screws included are too small for the holes in the mount. You have to go to NAPA and get a size bigger diameter that will bite in the plastic. Why don't they just include the right size screws?

This review is just a Buyer Beware regarding Crutchfield's recommendation and inclusion of this product for my car. The Metra 82-5605 is clearly listed for 2015 and up Fords. My car is a 2012 Focus Titanium with Sony 6 3/4" factories. This adaptor DOES NOT fit the hole pattern or even the larger opening of my car door. Metra's website recommends their 82-FD1 for 2011-2012 Focus cars. DO NOT get these adaptors for a 2012 Ford Focus.

They worked great but i did wished they where at least a tinny bit deeper (car specific). The provided bolts where way to long and hit the metal when installing them. I used the new speaker bolts as they fit much better, they where just about 1/16in (freedom units) longer than plastic but still managed to make it fit.

I get that this is an universal mount but please provide instructions that inside mounting tabs MAY have to be removed for certain speakers (kicker 6.75") and also, the screws were not included and provided screws from the speakers were too small to mount the speaker to the bracket(outer mounting holes). Please include screws with the bracket.

Plenty of space and ability to adapt. I much prefer these because the mounting holes are closed into the bracket and it guides speaker fasteners much better.

This was an exact fit had no problems mounting the speakers . There just was no way to pass the speaker wires through so I had to drill a hole in the plastic not a problem it took two seconds to do it.

There were no packaging instructions as I am sure they are intended to be used with many applications. They did work but it took me just a few moments to cogitate and figure out which tabs to take off. Fortunately, I have a Dremel tool that makes these sorts of modifications good, nice, and easy. If I didn't have the Dreml, then it would have taken me longer and been less clear. Once I modified the brackets to the speakers, the speakers fit perfectly, and the brackets mounted perfectly to the Bronco.

Replaced the factory speakers in my '19 F150 SuperCrew. It was suspected my factory rear speakers could have moisture damage so we went ahead with these Polk marine rated speakers. They sound really crisp on the highs and mids, but I do notice the factory speakers had thumpier bass. They look great and were easy for my husband to install right under the factory covers. Now on to a sub next!

Perfect fit on 2021 ford ecosport. Use pliers to remove inner tabs to fit 6.75" speakers. Didn't figure that out until after using a dremmel and making a mess. Used 1/16" foam tape between door and ring then between ring and speaker.

Great product at a great price. I sealed these to my door with some butyl rubber rope. The only issue I ran into was the outer speaker holes were too big for the screws that came with my speakers so I had to make new ones. I also had to make a channel to fit the speaker wires in there.

I had 6.5 speakers but you still have to remove the tabs on the brackets. You also have to cut or notch out a space so speaker wires may exit the bracket. Easy to install.

I used these with a set of Alpine S-S65C component speakers in my 2016 Ford Escape. Those speakers are not a direct fit according to Crutchfield's website, but they worked great with these mounting brackets. I did drill new mounting holes since the stock mounting bracket fit differently, but that was a minor annoyance. I cut a small notch where the bracket meets the door to allow the speaker wires to run to the stock connector using the new pigtail adapters Crutchfield sent with my order. I'm very happy with the result, and really don't know how I would have done it without these brackets.
Pros: Free with my order. Perfect height for the speakers to maintain the OEM installed height to ensure no interference with the door panel.
Cons: I had to drill new mounting holes in my door, but this was for a set of speakers that were specifically listed as not a "drop in" replacement for my vehicle.

Doesn't align with speakers (Rockford Fos. R-1675), screws are too long and impede the speaker fitting in the door, no accommodation for wiring harness to come out from back of speakers, no instructions indicating how to actually attach speaker correctly. Took hours to get this in, had to do a garbage install because I needed my car the next day. If I didn't have to get it done in one day, everything I bought on this order would be returned. The "master sheet" was very general and not helpful for the specifics of this installation. It tells how to get the door panel off, beyond that, you're on your own.
Pros: Solves one only one more problem that they create.

These mounts are typical abs style plastic will not line up until you are about to throw your life away and all of a sudden boom they magically line up with whatever you are mounting.

Terrible product overall. These were supplied with my R1675-S Rockford Fosgate speakers to install in my 2016 Ford Fusion. The only good thing about these were that the 3 holes lined up with the 3 holes in my door. No exit hole for the speaker wires like the factory. None of the holes lined up with the holes in the speaker. Had to dremel the inside brackets to clearance for the speaker.
Pros: Fit the factory holes and spaced the speaker out correctly.
Cons: None of the holes matched my speakers. No hole for the wires to be routed to the connectors on the door. No screws provided.

Perfect fit for my 2015 F-150 rear doors, but have two issues. 1) No hole or channel for routing speaker wires. I used a thicker rubber weather stripping to foam between the door and the bracket which let me run the wires under the mount. 2) Two of the speaker mount holes were too large for the #8 screws, but only just. This must be by design because they are exactly opposite of each other on the mount, but I cannot find any reason or writing as to why. Very strange...

These fit my 2017 Ford Mustang in the door perfectly! The only modification I had to make was to drill a small hole in the side to slide the speaker wire through to reach the back. That took thirty seconds and I was off to the races. The only thing missing in my kit, was I didn't get 8 screws to attach my speakers to the mounting bracket, so I had to find some that fit.

Speaker brackets don't include screws/hardware, so in addition to not fitting the speakers I bought (only 2 of the 4 holes line up with those on the speakers), there's no way to mount them to the brackets. Crutchfield does a great job of making sure your installation goes smoothly and leading you to believe everything you need is included, but you'd expect either a warning that no screws are included or they'd just include the screws you need for the brackets.
Pros: Theoretically lets you mount aftermarket speakers to your factory install locations.
Cons: Does not include hardware to affix speakers. Only 2 out of 4 drill holes match up with those on speaker.

These fit, however the pre-drilled mounts to attach speakers to bracket were too large and the vendor (Morel Speaker) supplied screws simply slid in without turning. I had to drill new holes in the bracket and use the metal retaining clips on the bracket to use the screws to attach speaker

Used on my 2020 Ford F150 XLT Supercab with Kicker 46CSC674 speakers. Had to trim the inner tabs off using a hack saw blade (to be able to mount speaker on top as it would not fit inside), and then also cut a notch in the lower side flange to run the speaker wire through. Added about an extra 30 minutes to install. Most importantly the factory install mounting holes lined up correctly.

Spot on for this install. Would never have given these a second thought but they were the answer. Bolted speakers to these using #8 machine bolts and Lock Tite for the nuts and it just flowed from there.

The screws are barely long enough, and I have no idea how you're actually supposed to use the little metal "nuts" which are actually just a thin metal L bracket. Had to bend them straight for them to work, and could only get like one thread on the short screws. Also had to drill a hole in them for the wiring to go through.

Got these for the front doors of my 2018 Focus. The work pretty good. The mounting screws that came with my speakers were to thin to grip the bracket holes so I used Number 10 x 1" screws. The heads were too big so they are holding the speakers in by the lip of the basket. No big deal. I used foam weather strip to gasket the speakers. As others have said they don't have any holes to run speaker wires through so I drilled my own with a 1/4" bit I was able to route 16 awg wire. If you don't want to hack your car up to make things work then these are the easiest way to go.

Fit my car after breaking off the inner tabs and using a Dremel to carve out a slot in the side for the wires to pass through. Used to install Kicker 46CSS674 woofers in 2018 Mustang. I noticed after the fact that the page for the mounting brackets themselves includes a note about needing to break off the inner tabs, but it was not mentioned anywhere in the Crutchfield instructions so I wasn't sure at first. Anyway, it was easy to break off the tabs. But then I realized that there was no way to pass the wires from behind the speaker out to where the factory connector was, so I had to Dremel out a slot in the side of the mounting bracket to allow the wires to pass through. Not too difficult, but again, not mentioned anywhere in the instructions. It's a bit disappointing they don't offer a version of these mounting brackets with a wire passthrough slot built-in.

The brackets do work in a 2017 F-150, but the 3 mounting holes don't line up perfectly. Also the screws that come with it and the speakers are to small.
