You bought a 2006-08 Mazda 6 — great car, but its console makes it impossible to upgrade the factory radio. Metra's integration adapter allows you to install an aftermarket single- (2" tall) or double-DIN (4" tall) stereo in the Mazda's dash panel, while maintaining all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning controls.
The included dash kit is a perfect match for the colour, texture, and contours of your Mazda dash. The included wiring harness works in vehicles with or without a factory amplifier. The package also includes a harness that plugs directly from your Mazda into the Axxess ASWC-1 adapter (not included), allowing you to retain your steering wheel audio controls with a new car stereo.

Double-DIN/Single-DIN Dash Kit: The Metra 99-7524B Radio Replacement Installation Package includes an dash kit that will house most double-DIN or Single-DIN aftermarket head units. A pocket is provided for Single-DIN installations only. The included dash kit is painted, contoured, and textured to match your vehicle's factory dash.
Retained Factory Climate Controls: The dash kit also retains full functionality of your factory HVAC system by integrating soft-touch button controls into the front-panel of the kit and allowing the use of your vehicle's factory dash vents and rotary control knobs. All control knobs and buttons are backlit for easy viewing and duplicate the factory lighting in your vehicle. In addition, the installation kit features a factory-styled hazard lights button.
Amplified & Non-Amplified Systems: The Metra 99-7524B Radio Replacement Installation Package can be used in vehicles with amplified and non-amplified factory audio systems. Balance & Fade control are retained.
Optional Steering Wheel Control Interface: The Metra 99-7524B Radio Replacement Installation Package is pre-wired for the Axxess ASWC-1 Steering Wheel Control Interface (120ASWC1, sold separately). The ASWC-1 steering wheel control interface module lets you retain your vehicle's factory steering wheel controls when replacing the factory radio with a compatible aftermarket radio that features an SWC input.
Wiring Harness: The Metra 99-7524B Radio Replacement Installation Package includes a wiring harness which plugs into your vehicle's factory radio connector and hardwires to your aftermarket stereo's wiring harness. The included harness contains the following wires that will need to hard-wired to your aftermarket stereo's wiring harness.
