Features
Mitsubishi Data Bus Interface: The MITO-01 Mitsubishi Data Bus Interface is designed specifically for select Mitsubishi vehicles with OEM factory installed Rockford Fosgate audio systems when installing an aftermarket head unit in the vehicle. The OEM factory installed Rockford Fosgate audio system uses a digital signal to turn on the factory installed amp in select Mitsubishi cars. The MITO-01 supplies that digital signal to turn the factory amplifier on and also eliminates the "COM-ERROR" message on the display when the OEM radio is removed. Your aftermarket head unit's speaker wires will provide the audio for the dash and rear speakers while the RCA's will provide the audio to the amplifier to power the door speaker and woofer.
Note: The aftermarket radio must have two pair of preamp outputs in order to properly interface. If it does not, you will need a line output converter.
Vehicle Compatibility: Currently the MITO-01 is compatible with the following Mitsubishi vehicles equipped with an OEM factory installed Rockford Fosgate audio system.
- Eclipse 2006-2008
- Endeavor 2007-2008
Level Adjustment: There are two pentiometers next to the Molex plug on the MITO-01 interface. The one closest to the Molex connector is the subwoofer level control and the other is the front door speaker level control. Using a small blade screwdriver you can turn the potentiometer of the speaker you want to adjust either clockwise (to make it louder) or counterclockwise (to lower the volume).

This was sold along with the Pioneer head to replace the unit in my Eclipse. I had it professionally installed and the installer told me that if I didn't have this unit, I wouldn't be able to control my sub. He was grateful that I included it, so I'm grateful too.
