More screen, more fun

Want to step up your in-car entertainment with a big-screen experience? That experience is within reach, thanks to the very clever Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX digital multimedia receiver. The slim single-DIN chassis fits many car dash openings and connects to an expansive 9" touchscreen display. You'll enjoy state-of-the-art media interfaces with wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, plus cool features like Bluetooth® and an HD Radio® tuner.

Move that screen

A big screen is cool, but only if it's in the right place. Pioneer has got you covered with their floating display. There's plenty of adjustment space available when you install the screen — up and down, left and right, forward and back, plus the screen angle — so you can dial in a perfect look with easy readability.

Check your dash!

Important Note — The screen measures 9.085" x 5.115". Before ordering, check for possible interference with your dash, your shifter, and all other controls.

Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and Amazon Alexa

Smartphone integration has come a long way thanks to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Pioneer gives you both platforms in this receiver along with some other cool perks. Wired or wireless, you'll enjoy all the features of these platforms.

Android Auto: Android Auto integrates the Android platform into your driving experience in a non-distracting way. You'll have voice control access to Google Maps, weather, music, your phone, text messages, plus easy access to many of your favourite apps. Get more info at www.android.com/auto.

Apple CarPlay: CarPlay integrates your iPhone® into the driving experience, putting iPhone content at the driver's voice command with minimal distraction. That means easy access to your music library, your phone, messages, navigation, and many third-party streaming music apps, too. Learn more at www.apple.com/ios/carplay.

Amazon Alexa: With a Wi-Fi connection, you can talk directly to Alexa through the receiver. You can check the weather, play music, control home devices — everything you like about Alexa is at your command.

Bluetooth® for hands-free calling and streaming

Bluetooth's wireless connection with your phone makes calling simple so you can keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road — you'll hear whomever you're calling on your car's audio system and they'll hear you loudly and clearly, courtesy of Pioneer's included external microphone. Bluetooth also enables wireless streaming for music, podcasts, and audiobooks too.

Built-in HD Radio™, and satellite radio compatibility

The DMH-WT7600NEX also features an HD Radio tuner. You'll enjoy much-improved AM/FM sound quality when you're tuned into a local participating station, and there's no subscription required — just tune it in like a regular radio station. If you're hankering for even more entertainment, step up to satellite radio programming by adding a SiriusXM tuner.

Play high-res music files

Get the most out of your library and load your high-res FLAC or DSD music files onto a thumb drive, then plug it into the rear USB input for outstanding sound. A rear aux input gives you the option of playing from an older portable music player as well.

Get the sound you love

Use the 13-band graphic equalizer and other sound tools to maximize the audio signal sent to the powerful built-in MOSFET amplifier. Three sets of preamp outputs deliver an ultra-clean signal for adding additional amps for more power, and you can switch the front, rear, and subwoofer outputs over to 3-way mode with highs, mids, and lows.

Rear-view with selectable parking lines

With two camera inputs, you can also install front- and rear-view cameras and use the receiver's built-in parking guides to back up safely in any crowded lot. The touchscreen lets you adjust parking lines with ease.

iDatalink Maestro lets you keep your factory extras

Pioneer offers compatibility you won't find in many other aftermarket radios, thanks to the iDatalink Maestro module (not included). In a wide selection of vehicles, this module lets you keep factory features that you'd otherwise lose when you install a new radio. Once you've identified your vehicle, you'll see the iDatalink module offered on the way to the Shopping Cart if it's compatible.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

iPod/smartphone note: If you're going to use your iPod or smartphone with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for compatibility information.

You'll need a wired connection to your parking brake to access settings and other features on this receiver. Your parking brake must be connected and set in order to view video on its screen.

    Floating Display Design

Two-Piece Configuration The Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX digital multimedia receiver features a two-piece floating display configuration with an external 9" capacitive touchscreen monitor and a separate single-DIN (2") source unit. Separating the large touchscreen monitor from the chassis allows the DMH-WT7600NEX to be installed in a standard single-DIN (2") dash opening.

Note: The Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX will not fit in some vehicles with a single-DIN opening due to its large 9" touchscreen monitor interfering with your vehicle's factory equipment on the dash.

Floating Touchscreen Monitor: Depending on your vehicle's factory radio location and the location of other factory equipment, you may need to adjust the mounting position of the touchscreen monitor in order to prevent impairment of vehicle driving operations. The floating touchscreen monitor offers horizontal, vertical and tilt adjustability to ensure the best fit and usability in your vehicle's dash.

    • Up/Down: The touchscreen monitor can be adjusted vertically (up or down) to prevent interference with climate controls, vents, and other factory equipment. It offers 5 patterns of vertical adjustment (up to 2.375" or 60mm) in 0.5625" or 15mm steps.
    • Left/Right: The touchscreen monitor can also be moved horizontally (left or right) to prevent interference with climate control, vents, and other factory equipment. It offers 3 patterns - Left 1.1875" (30mm), Centered (default), or Right 1.1875" (30mm).
    • Forward/Back: In addition, the touchscreen monitor can be adjusted back and forth to allow more or less space between the monitor and the dash kit for a better fit. You can choose from 2 patterns - Back (Flush) or Forward (0.75" or 20mm)
    • Tilt Angle: You can even adjust the angle of touchscreen monitor for better usability and visibility. In addition to its vertical 90 degree angle (default), the monitor can be adjusted 15 degrees back or 60 degrees forward.

Note: These adjustments must be made prior to final installation and cannot be done during operation.

Single-DIN Source Unit: The included source unit fits in a standard 2" single-DIN opening (applicable kit, harness, etc. will be required and sold separately for your vehicle). Once the source unit is mounted in the dash, the 9" touchscreen monitor attaches and connects to the front of the source unit using the included hardware and integrated proprietary cable. All of the Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX's inputs and outputs are found on the rear-panel of the source unit.

Note: The amount of the source unit's protrusion from the dashboard/console can be adjusted by shifting the position of the screw holes of this unit to the factory radio-mounting brackets.

Source Unit Dimensions: Chassis body dimensions include wire and cable connections.

    • Chassis:
      • Width: 7.025"
      • Height: 1.975"
      • Depth: 7.455" (with wired USB connection) / 6.565" (with wireless WiFi connection)
    • Nose:
      • Width: 6.695"
      • Height: 1.815"
      • Depth: 0.295"

Touchscreen Monitor Dimensions: Touchscreen monitor dimensions include mounting bracket.

    • Width: 9.085"
    • Height: 5.155"
    • Depth: 1.885"

Note: See the included Installation Manual for specific dimensions at each horizontal, vertical, and tilt setting.

Touchscreen / Alexa / App / Remote Control

9" Capacitive Touchscreen: The Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX features a 9" capacitive LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 (RGB), for a total of 2,764,800 pixels. The capacitive LCD touchscreen is highly responsive, powerful, and very intuitive for exceptional control. The capacitive touchscreen offers multi-touch gestures like pinch-to-zoom, plus simple swipe & scroll controls - similar to your smartphone's touchscreen interface. The touchscreen display allows you to control this unit and a connected component such as an iPhone, Android smartphone, Bluetooth phone, or USB mass storage class device. Menus appear on screen for making function choices, audio adjustments, and setting up the system. A non-removable shatterproof film has been applied to the unit's LCD touchscreen for added durability.

    • Favorites: You can register the desired menu items on the DMH-WT7600NEX 's "Favorites" menu screen. Registering your favorite menu items allows you to quickly jump to the registered menu item by a simple touch on the favorites menu. Up to 12 menu items can be registered as a "Favorite".
    • OSD + Backgrounds: The color of the on-screen display can be set to red, amber, green, blue or white. The background display can be selected from 8 different preset displays for the AV Operation screen and 3 different preset displays for the Home Menu screen. In addition, you can change the background display of Home Screen to other images imported from an external USB device.
    • Picture Adjustments: You can store numerous video settings for the head unit's video sources and rear-view camera; including brightness (adjusts the black intensity), contrast (adjusts contrast), color (adjusts color saturation), hue, (adjusts color tone), temperature (adjust the color temperature), and Dimmer (adjusts brightness).
    • Dimmer: The receiver's touchscreen display & button illumination can be dimmed manually, automatically or via a timer. You can set the unit's LCD touchscreen & button illumination to automatically dim when your vehicle's headlights are turned on (this function requires that the orange/white illumination wire in the wiring harness is connected to the vehicle's headlight circuit). You can also set a specific time and duration for unit's LCD & button illumination to dim.

    Notes:

    • This unit has a parking brake interlock system that prohibits viewing of video programming and operating certain controls when the vehicle is in motion. In order to watch video on the in-dash monitor, the vehicle must be stopped with the parking brake engaged. The head unit's light green wire must be connected to your vehicle's parking brake detection circuit. The head unit's touchscreen will display a "Caution" message, if you try to watch a video when your vehicle is in motion.
    • The parking brake wire must also be connected and the parking brake engaged for certain setup functions and menu options.
    • CarPlay and Android Auto do not require that the parking brake be engaged.

Voice Control with Alexa Built-In: The DMH-WT7600NEX digital multimedia receiver offers Amazon Alexa Built-in through a wireless WiFi connection to your smartphone, your smartphone's active data cellular plan, and the Amazon Alexa app (for Apple iOS 11.0+ and Android OS 5.0+). Using Alexa with the Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX is simple and hands-free; just say the "Alexa" wake-word or press the "Mic" button to ask your question and Alexa will respond instantly. Alexa lives in the cloud, so it's always getting smarter, adding new capabilities that are delivered to compatible devices automatically.

      • Weather, News, & Sports: Check weather reports, news updates, and sport scores using Amazon Alexa and your voice. The unit will provide audible feedback for weather, news, and sports; plus a visual display of a 7-day weather forecast.
      • Smarthome Control: Use Amazon Alexa and your voice to control compatible smarthome devices, such as garage door openers and outdoor lighting.

      • The Alexa Built-In feature does not support control and display of video and navigation apps.
      • The Alexa Built-In feature does not control CarPlay or Android Auto.
      • Pioneer does not guarantee Amazon Alexa voice control for all head unit functions and Amazon Alexa features

You can bookmark websites that you want to enjoy in your car, register your favorite sports teams to receive real-time game updates, make notifications settings for your smartphone, and more. The app also allows you to customize your receiver's home screen, including adding your own background image, and easily performing OTA Firmware Updates

    • Register your favorite webpage URLs (including YouTube, Facebook, and more) in the app to see those webpages (including video) on the receiver's web touchscreen monitor. The web browser cannot be used while the vehicle is in motion. Your vehicle must be stopped with the parking brake engaged (requires the light green wire of the receiver's wiring harness to be connected to your vehicle's parking brake detection circuit). The head unit's touchscreen will display a "Caution" message, if you try to use the web browser when your vehicle is in motion. Pioneer does not guarantee compatibility with all URLs.
    • Register your favorite sports teams to receive information and score about them through the Pioneer receiver. To use the sports notification function, make sure that the included GPS antenna is installed properly.
    • Organizing notifications on your Apple iPhone or Android smartphone for displaying on the Pioneer receiver's touchscreen monitor.

    iPhone / Android Integration

Built-In WiFi: The Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX features built-in WiFi wireless connectivity specifically designed to support a cable free connection between your Apple iPhone or Android smartphone and the receiver. By supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Alexa Built-In and the CarAVAssist app via a wireless connection, you no longer need to worry about taking your smartphone out of your bag or your pocket before you get into your car.

    • GPS Antenna: Before using CarPlay or Android Auto, make sure the included GPS antenna and vehicle speed sensing (VSS) wire are properly connected. The GPS antenna is required for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay navigation maps (including Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze); as well as the sports team notification feature of the CarAVAssist app and certain Alexa voice commands. The GPS antenna comes with a self-stick pad which mounts it on top of your dash inside the vehicle.
    • Data Plan Required: Your iPhone or Android smartphone will need an active Data Plan account with connection to the Internet via 3G, EDGE, or LTE (4G) for CarPlay and Android Auto to function. Access to CarPlay, Android Auto, Alexa, and CarAVAssist online app services will depend on the availability of a cellular network for purposes of allowing your iPhone or Android smartphone to connect to the Internet. App services may not be available in all regions.

Wireless Apple CarPlay: The Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX features Apple CarPlay, the smarter and safer way to use your iPhone 5S or newer (iOS 7.1+) in the car. The Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX supports Apple CarPlay through a wireless connection using WiFi and Bluetooth (both connections must be made) or a hardwired USB connection using its rear-panel USB-C port, the supplied USB extension cable, and included USB-C to USB-A adapter. Apple CarPlay gives iPhone users an incredibly intuitive way to make calls, use Maps, listen to music, access messages, and even control Apple HomeKit compatible devices through Siri voice recognition and the Pioneer receiver's touchscreen monitor.

    • Maps: Apple CarPlay brings the power and simplicity of Apple Maps to your dashboard; complete with turn-by-turn direction, traffic conditions, and estimated travel time. You can enter a new destination or choose a favorite or recent destination using the head unit's touchscreen or by simply asking Siri. CarPlay can also predict where you most likely want to go using addresses from your email, text messages, contacts, and calendars. You can even listen to music from your Apple CarPlay device or other connected source device while using Apple Maps. If you have iOS 12.0 or newer on your iPhone with the latest version of Google Maps or Waze, you can choose to navigate via Google Maps or Waze instead of CarPlay. Google Maps and Waze do not support Siri voice control, but will have their own proprietary voice control function which has to be accessed through a touchscreen icon on the receiver.
    • Phone & Messages: Via Apple CarPlay, you'll be able to make calls, return missed calls, and listen to voicemails through the Pioneer head receiver. Siri can also help you do all these things. In addition, Siri can send, read, and reply to your text messages for you; so you never have to look at your iPhone while driving.
    • Music Library: Through Apple CarPlay, you can access your favorite artists, songs, and playlists from Apple Music on your iPhone using the Pioneer head unit's touchscreen. Or, just tell Siri what you'd like to listen to. The head unit's touchscreen will display song/artist information, as well as album art in the background.
    • Apps: CarPlay also supports additional audio apps that you've downloaded to your iPhone for enjoying music, radio, sports, news, podcasts, & audiobooks (subscriptions and fees may apply). Control these apps from the head unit's touchscreen just like you would from your iPhone. Current supported apps include:
    • Apple HomeKit Compatible: CarPlay now supports control of Apple HomeKit enabled devices (sold separately) through Siri. Using CarPlay in your vehicle, you can ask Siri to close or open your garage door, turn on or off home lighting, increase or decrease the temperature of your thermostat, as well as control select functions of other Apple HomeKit enabled devices and appliances. Click here for a list of compatible Apple HomeKit products.

    Notes:

    • Before using Wireless CarPlay, you will need to pair your iPhone to the receiver via Bluetooth and connect the phone to the receiver via a USB cable to make a WiFi connection between the receiver and your iPhone - follow the receiver's on-screen prompts. The WiFi password is listed under "Wireless Settings" in the WiFi menu.
    • If you are using a hardwired connection, use the included USB extension cable, the supplied USB-C to USB-A adapter and an "Apple Certified" Lightning-to-USB extension cable (not included) for connection. Any other USB extension cable or non-certified cable can cause CarPlay to malfunction.
    • Bluetooth hands-free phone and wireless music streaming cannot be used while Apple CarPlay is being used with a connected iPhone.

Wireless Android Auto: The Pioneer receiver supports the Android Auto app for select Android smartphones using a wired or wireless connection. A Google or Samsung smartphone with Android OS 10.0+ or any smartphone with Android OS 11.0+ and 5GHz WiFi can utilize Android Auto Wireless with the Pioneer receiver using the latest version of the Android Auto app, plus a WiFi and Bluetooth connection (both wireless connections must be made; a wired USB connection must be made initially between the Android phone and the Pioneer receiver to setup Wireless Android Auto). Android smartphones running Oreo 8.0 or newer can also be connected to the Pioneer receiver's USB-C port using the included USB extension cable and USB cable that came with your smartphone, plus be paired via Bluetooth. Android Auto extends the Android platform into your car in a way that's purpose-built for driving and automatically brings you useful information and organizes it into one simple on-screen interface. It's designed to minimize distraction so you can stay focused on the road ahead. Features of Android Auto include -

    • Google Assistant: The Pioneer receiver enhances your Android Auto experience even more by incorporating Google Assistant using the head unit's external microphone and your car speakers for voice command and text-to-speech, which makes using Android Auto and all of its integrated applications fast, easy, and safe. • Presets & Favorites: The BSM (Best Stations Memory) function lets you automatically store the six strongest analog or HD stations under preset buttons 1-6 of the currently tuned band. The tuner has 3 FM banks and 1 AM bank. You can store 6 presets for each bank giving you a total of 18 FM presets and 6 AM presets. The Favorites feature allows you to pick out your Favorite preset stations (AM or FM) and combine them into one list.
    • Reception Blending: If a digital broadcast reception condition gets poor, this unit automatically switches to the analog broadcast of the same frequency level. If this function is set to "On", the tuner switches between digital broadcast and analog broadcast automatically. If this function is 'Off', reception will be conducted within a digital broadcast.
    • Local Tuning: Local seek tuning lets you tune in only those radio stations with sufficiently strong signals for good reception. There are 4 levels of sensitivity for FM and two levels for AM. The higher settings allow reception of only the strongest stations, while lower settings let you receive progressively weaker stations.

Note: HD Radio is the system for digital AM and FM broadcasting in the U.S. More than 2,000 radio stations are broadcasting their primary signals in digital HD Radio technology, as a free service. Go to www.hdradio.com to check for HD Radio stations in your area.

When set for subwoofer operation, you can connect the rear speaker leads directly to two small 4-ohm passive subwoofers or a dual voice coil sub with 4-ohm voice coils. If you prefer to use a single 2-ohm subwoofer, you can connect the woofer to one set of speaker leads, leaving the other set of rear leads disconnected. The maximum output provided when a 2-ohm load is connected to one set of leads is 70 watts.

Beep Tone: The in-dash head unit provides an audible beep to confirm button operation. You can turn this feature on or off.

Can the factory USB and microphone be maintained after installation in a 2015 Kia Optima EX w/ Infinity Audio (no navigation)?

Greetings DC. Thank you for providing all of your vehicle information with your question. Unfortunately, you would lose the factory microphone, satellite radio, USB and the Aux in on the 2015 Optima. Its not just this Pioneer stereo, but any. its the lack of adapters to retain those factory options. Wish I had better news.

We provide lifetime Technical Support for every order, Ricardo. Without looking at the specifics of your vehicle and install package in your order history it would be difficult for me to diagnose the issue from here, sadly. I can try my best to help. The first thing I would check is to make sure the unit's VSS wire is connected to the vehicle, this will also improve functionality of the GPS antenna. This receiver uses a Sensor Suite to track the motion of the vehicle. Pioneer recommends connecting the Pink VSS wire and the GPS antenna for best operation. After initialized, the Sensor Suite has 2 modes; 3-D Positioning Mode and Simple Hybrid Mode. Simple Hybrid mode will automatically engage if no VSS wire is connected. I hope this helps!

If it has a 2.5mm male end on it with only 1 ring beside the tip there is a good chance. If it is like 99% of the factory Bluetooth mics it is a proprietary plug that only works with the factory radio. I would guess you have no chance it's going to work with it.

It doesn't connect to your wireless carrier at all. Your phone connects to your wireless carrier at whatever speed you signed up for. A car stereo simply connects to your phone through Bluetooth or a USB cable. The car stereo will work with your phone irrespective of your phone's cellular data connection speed.

    Q
Will it work on a vehicle with a main power switch, the unit will be completly powerless every night?
    emil  May 17, 2021
    1 answer
    A
Emil, I'm an Electrical Engineer. Most all radios I know of have a constant power for the clock and other functions that have a very small pull of power. They also have a switched power that turns the system on when the key is in the accessory or run position. Apologies if you knew this; I'm trying to help anyone that may read this. If you tie the radio constant power and accessory power wire together to connect to a main power switch, you most likely will lose your clock and other settings every time you turn off the main power switch. Also, you will need to make sure your main power switch is rated for the entire amount of amps the radio and rest of the vehicle will pull. This may be a good option if you have a vehicle that you only use every few weeks like a rock crawler or cruising car. If you are going to use the vehicle at least once a week, it may be worth it to run a wire direct to the battery for the radios constant power to keep the clock and settings. The drain on the battery over a week for just the radio should be so little that it won't drain the battery low enough that you can't start the vehicle. Of course, this assumes you are using the correct size battery for your vehicle and the battery is in good condition. Another option is to do what I do with my 49 Chevy. Wire it correctly with a constant power and accessory power wires, get a battery tender and permanent leads to attach to your battery. Plug it in when it's not being used, unplug and tuck the wires away when using it. Hope this helps give you ideas on how to tackle your project! Lawrence

Not sure of the lay out of a Kia Rio but if you can fit a din or double din radio in it then no. If it has a molded in radio and you need a dash kit then yes you need a dash kit. Depending electronics in the car like reverse park and speed sense you may need electronic modules as well. I needed all the above and steering wheel controls module for my Cadillac.

The stereo screen sits approxomately 2" forward as compared to the factory stereo. There maybe interference with operation of the steering column mounted lever/stalk. Note that the unit can be installed using appropriate metra hsrdware since it is single Din. Also the screen can be offset to the left which might aid installation, but confirmation via measurement is required.

I can only comment on 2007+ fitment based on the install I did on my Avalanche. I previously owned a '95 Tahoe but that was long ago and my memory of that dash has faded. I discovered that the radio cavity depth reported by Crutchfield was conservatively shallow by at least 1/2 inch. In Crutchfield's defense, please note that I was in the process of replacing my Ava's cracked dash and I had the benefit of having the new dash part sitting on my workbench. I was able to measure precisely, check the fit of the new head unit prior to installing in the car, and easily modify the plastic piece that tied the two sides of the radio cavity together. That said, even with the dash in the car I would have been able to modify the dash to accommodate the 7600 in my '07 Avalanche, but it would have been a bit more challenging. I can also speculate Crutchfield's advice is to accommodate a broad range of Customers with varying degrees of installation experience. I've installed dozens of head units in the past 50 years, and I would classify this install as one of the more difficult based on the amount of fabrication required to modify a stock "double DIN to single DIN" install bracket, cut away part of the dash to eliminate interference with cooling fan airflow, allow room for the USB cable to come straight out the back of the unit, etc. (the USB cable is extremely stiff and has a straight connector on it). All in all, if you've measured your depth and think you can do it you probably can, but it may take a little effort and a little creativity on your part. As an FYI, the recommended Maestro kit, vehicle specific wiring harness, etc take up so much room that I recommend you plan on eliminating the "storage cubby" of a Double DIN to Single DIN installation kit just to have more volume behind the dash to stuff the wiring. I did this using a bit of fiberglass and Bondo, and repainting the kit after eliminating the cubby. Good Luck !

Well. It's measured diagonally, so measure the space you currently have. I don't have a land cruiser, it judging by the current dash that's in there it looks like the 9" screen version wouldn't block the vents at all.

I have it in a 1994 Bronco. The reason it doesn't fit is that it uses screws to hold it in place versus a sleeve. I just happened to have a sleeve that was able to work from another head unit, but buyer beware.
    joel  Dec 06, 2020

It is single DIN. I guess it s of the way the fitting spec of the H.U. I have a '02 Intrepid with this H.U. installed and it was saying it compatible. But it fit nicely. Just one thing, I had to install a sleeve to have it hold in place properly and stay in place (none are coming is it). Maybe this is the reason it say "won't fit". It suppose to be screwed in tight. A little bit of adaptation and voila! So I guess

Has anyone else had call quality issues on this product? I have a difficult time understanding who I'm calling with them sounding garbled, and they also have a difficult time understanding me. My factory head unit bluetooth calling worked great ,but not this Pioneer unit. Any suggestions?

The hands-free calling feature of this unit is a bit disappointing. I've had callers on the opposite end ask if I was talking into a barrel. I have the included mic mounted directly in front of me. I also notice that the quality of the audio in a call is terrible compared to the quality of audio with Bluetooth music, so the culprit is not the Bluetooth connection to the phone. That said, prior to installing this unit I did not have hands-free, so it is definitely better than what I had before.

Probably depends on your dash kit if they allow the spacer on the top but there is no reason it couldn't go there. The screen does have a lot of adjustment though and you could probably keep it below the top of the dash even mounted in the upper slot.

I ll assume you ll have rca for that DVD player and not HDMI. You ll need a RCA to jack cable (yellow, red and white) and use it into the aux jack line. It allow external AV on the jack. If your DVD player got HDMI, use directly the HDMI connection (you ll need a mini hmdi to hdmi cable tho)

Yes it should. It has a floating screen that extends out past the dash.
    daniel  Jun 30, 2020
    A
You would think it should, assuming single DIN mounting kits are still available for the 4th Gens. The only questionable point might be how far the dash overhangs the radio opening on the single DIN kit. The monitor mounting bracket may not extend far enough from the chassis to allow it to clear the dash overhang. Crutchfield used to list that as an issue for motorized faceplate units on the 2-DIN units that hid the CD slot behind the monitor. Cruthchfield has a number of 4th and 5th Gens in the parking lot, so maybe they'll take pity on us and try it out firsthand. Might even be tempted to go for the 10" upgrade model. :-)

You can verify the exact dimensions in the manual for this unit. There is a cutout also that shows the exact dimensions that can be printed and cut out so that you can even hold it up in your vehicle to check clearance.

If you look through the list of product images, Crutchfield has added a printable template of the screen module. The dimenions are listed on the template, but if you follow the instructions, you can actually print the template to actual size of the monitor so you can then play with it in your car to see how the monitor would fit and what might be blocked in with the screen in various locations.
