Overview: JL Audio's SB-D-QDRAMD/10TW1 Stealthbox has been specifically designed to fit select 2002 - up Dodge Ram1500 Quad Cab, 2003 - up 2500 & 3500 Quad Cab, and 2009 - up Crew Cab models. It features two 10" 10TW1-4 subwoofers in a custom sealed enclosure that mounts underneath the rear seat.

Subwoofers: The JL Audio Stealthbox's dual 10" 10TW1-4 subwoofers offer a powerful combination of a shallow mounting depth and high excursion capability, producing deep powerful bass from a compact enclosure. The two 4 ohm subwoofers are capable of handling up to 600 watts RMS and include sturdy steel-mesh grilles for protecting the drivers.

Enclosure: The Stealthbox sealed enclosure is made from fiberglass and finished in automotive black carpet. The enclosure has been configured to mount under the rear seat without affecting comfort, space, and seat-folding.

That is a great question! JL Audio does not set a particular frequency point for the sealed enclosure so it would be down to personal preference and what filtering capabilities your amp had.

Will this fit my 2019 Ram1500(5th gen) Quad cab and work with my JL Audio HD900/5 sub output of 500W without causing damage to subs due to being under powered?

Sadly we do not show this as a fit in your specific 2019 Ram quad cab, Richard. For your specific chassis truck we do not have any JL Stealthbox options that are a good fit. The 600w RMS max rating on this Stealthbox would be fine to run with an amp that put 500w RMS into a 2 ohm load, no problem there I just wish it was a physical fit!

Power per subwoofer?

Each subwoofer can handle 300 watts RMS, but there is no way to individually power each subwoofer. They are both wired to one box terminal handling 600 watts with a 2 ohm load.

In my past experience over powering subs for a long period of time is never a good idea. On my jl subs in my ram 1500 I am running a jl audio amp 365x2. Subs were quite pricey in my opinion to risk over powering.

Had to take the flats off my 2018 Ram. They fit but get pushed up by the box. Btw look into the ground shaker sub box.

Highly unlikely. I had to remove the storage covers that mine came with to put this box in. There's no room for much else with the box installed.

You'd have to raise your rear seats up about an inch, inch and a half if you want to retain full use of your foldout floor. It's tight, you'll be able to keep it in its stowed away location under the seat with this Stealthbox below it but that's about all you'll be able to do with it. Once you fold it out it won't sit level and you will have a "^" shaped crease in the middle. I don't know why JL Audio advertises this as you can retain your floor because you can't. Granted you don't have to remove it, but you can't use it once you put this under your rear seat.

I have a 2016 Big Horn 2500 Crew Cab and I had to remove the fold flat floor. JL said it would fit if I cut the carpet, but I removed the carpet completely and it still didn't fit. I tried removing the rubber stops on the sub box but it still wouldn't let the fold flat clear the back of the sub box. On a positive note, the subs sound great and the box fits perfectly under the seats in the cargo tray. Hope that helps.

If this is in reference to a 2018 or equivalent body-style Ram pickup with the crew cab then it can in fact stay stay in place once you install the Stealthbox but that's about all that you'll be able to do with it unless you raise your seat up a little bit if you want the floor to fold out correctly. It's rather tight when its folded up under the seat but when you go to fold the floor out, that's when you'll notice that your floor won't fold out right. There'll be quite the hump in the middle of it. If its something you'd be interested in, you can do a quick Google search of it and you should find a couple of web-forums where people have effectively raised their seat up a little and be able to use their load floor with this box but unfortunately when JL Audio says you can retain your load floor, they dont tell ya that you'll "still" be able to use.... your load floor once you install this great subwoofer system.

The jl W7 will not fit in this box. The box comes with subwoofers included.

Hey guys thanks for your answers. I finally made a decsion and bought the one with 2 10tw1s. And i am beyond happy. I had high expectations and it succeded them. One other question. Does anybody know how i can get new mounting brackets for the stealthbox? I lost the passenger side one

I've got the stealth box with 2 10s powered by a JL xd600/1v2 in a 2016 Ram 1500 crew cab, and for the airspace I am very impressed. It's not cheap, but I have no regrets. I can't speak for the stealth box with 1 10.

I have the 2 10's powered by a JL Audio RD 900/5 and I think it sounds just fine. Nice tight bass for kick drum. Nice bass response for bass guitar. All frequencies are present. I'm a musician and enjoy quality sounding music. I went from a ported box with 2 12" so this took a little getting used to as it's a sealed custom box with 10's. But after a couple weeks I had it dialed in and enjoy what I hear.

Yes. You don't even have to remove the seats to installl it. t is a great fit. You will have to remove the fold flat platforms if your truck has them.

No. The box is not amplified. You will need to purchase an amplifier to make this unit work. If you want it to work with your factory Alpine system you'll need a hi level input as well.

I agree with the other answers. I used the same amp that the instructions say to use and i couldn't be happier. I dont think we can post links, even to the manufacture of the box but i would definitely go to JL audio and shoot them an email about setting it up. I followed that and I've had no reason yet whatsoever to adjust further. This thing pounds like no other. Keep in mind, I didn't use any line output converter, or that PAC Audio AMP 4 thing that bypasses the factory amp. I just tapped into the OEM subwoofer wiring and set to per JL Audios recommendation and am highly pleased.

When I bought mine, I got the JL Audio XD600/1v2. When you get the paperwork with the steathbox, it will not only recommend this amp, but will show you how to set it up for the perfect output off bass. I was pleased with the way mine came out. I hope this helps.

The Stealthbox enclosures are made by JL Audio. They research the vehicles and custom mold their enclosures to fit the available space. Based on the airspace they are able to get from the formed enclosure, they install one of their woofers that works best in the given space. On JL's website it states, "...plenty of room is left in the center for amplifier installation or storage." On the picture of the box, the center part seems pretty narrow. Anyone know the inside dimensions of that center portion? This will help narrow down which amplifier(s) will work best. Thanks.

for my 2012 ram 1500 quad cab there wasn't much room.. you might be able to mount an amp between the box lip (driver or passenger rear side) and the back wall of the cab. I can see how it looks like there would be room in the center but the seat mount make that impossible. I ended up mounting mine under the drivers seat and that worked out perfect for running wires. hope this helps. - David

Does anyone know if this stealthbox with the lower profile 10TW1 subwoofers allows the 2013 Crew Cab RAM's fold flat floor to remain, or does it have to be removed like the older single stealthbox with the W3v3 subwoofer?

I can leave them in on my 2015 Crew Cab. But you will have to stretch the straps that hold them down, and will probably eventually fatigue the straps, to the point that they no longer work. Also the fold flat, will no longer lay flat, as this enclosure sticks up right at 2" higher, than the stock storage compartment. I took mine out, but may try to take the rubber bumpers off of the enclosure, to lose about 3/4", and see if the fold flats lay flatter. I really wish they would have made this enclosure to be the same height as the storage compartment, just for this reason. But then again, I doubt I'll use the fold flats very often.
