Sennheiser CX True Wireless

This is my second set of CX True Wireless. The sound quality is so good that someone won't give my other set back. I love the fit and that they include 4 sets of ear tips and they hold a charge for a long time. I am overall very pleased with Sennheiser and the CX True WIreless earbuds. The only real negative I can think of is I find the app kind of clunky and useless.

good choice!

I got these when the batteries started to fail in my Klipsch T5 II buds. The overall sound quality is outstanding, and the app seems to work well. I do wish I had known that these aren't very compatible with iOS devices; even on the lowest setting, the volume is a touch too loud. Since I typically only listen using one bud at the time, this is easily solved by adjusting the left-right balance. (This issue is not present on Android devices.) It would be nice if there were intermediate sizes of the ear inserts available; while the buds do stay in place, they feel like they might slip sometimes, and the next sizes up and down don't work for me. Overall, these were a good value for the price.

Great price for excellent sound quality!

After reading Best True Wireless Earbuds 2023 on this website and doing my own comparisons I chose these. They are excellent earbuds at this price. The sound quality is great especially when you use the app that's available. The amount of options to help dial-in the right sound for me is very cool. I'm very happy with these earbuds and I appreciate all the information you provide to make decisions much easier.

Poor range & power

Got these to be an option for computer audio streaming (videos, games, some music). They have horrible range compared to my two other buds, both of which were cheaper than these CX True Wireless. The power level is poor - I get much more range of volume with the cheaper ones. The Good points include fast pairing and the charge lasts a decent amount of time, though again not better than my other two. This will be my first and last pair of Sennheiser buds.

Picked these up on sale, and overall, I am very pleased. Wore them at work for seven hours with reasonable comfort the other day. I will probably get used to them more over time. Probably would not stay put well when exercising, but solid at low activity levels. Run time was excellent. . . over six-and-a-half hours of playback with plenty left "in the tank" when I put them away! Sound quality is quite good. I am listening to them flat with no EQ, Bass Boost, etc. and still getting nice full-range sound in a quiet environment. Great value!

Exactly what I was looking for. These earbuds are good quality and didn't break the bank. I purchased them on the recommendation of my husband. Last time I flew I needed wireless buds to listen to the movie on board. There were no jacks? I ended up reading subtitles all the way through "Top Gun Maverick".

Sennheiser ear buds

Not something I use a lot. Used while sitting around house. They work fine for me at a price as an entry point.If I get use to and comfortable with them I will probably look at purchasing a higher priced set. Decided to try to see if I liked more then my wireless headphones. Sennheiser makes great products and have been using them for years. As others have said not much bass if that is important for you. But I'm enjoying these and think the sound is good.

Medicre audio, connection issues, poor touch design

Bluetooth disconnects randomly, then connects again randomly when they are in the case. Sometimes they don't turn on when I take them out of the case. Also trying to handle the touch-sensitive pads are a no-go for me (when trying to put them back in the case they think I'm pressing them a dozen times and mess up whatever I'm listening to). Audio is mediocre to me (although obviously that's highly subjective). Maybe my expectations were too high for audio, Sennheiser has a fantastic reputation and these are not really their premium product. I'll contact Tech Support as requested but even if the bluetooth worked right these are still a no-go for me.

Decent option for the sale price

Great deal when on sale. I use the extra small tips and they could be just a tad smaller. I powerlift with these fairly well. They will loosen up for cardio, HIIT or circuit training. I wear them at work and they stay put. I can hear my surroundings decently which is a plus for me. Connecting is usually pretty good. App is pretty good as well like the eq and custom settings. Switching between my fone and switch is easy on the app too. Or on the device. Battery life has been decent so far. Case is better shaped for a pocket than I thought. Pretty easy to carry around and case is pretty sturdy. Sound is decent but others are better. Obviously true wireless is in its own league but I find my music enjoyable and full. It is tough for me to keep a complete seal. Overall I would buy on sale everytime. I think it's a no brainier at that price vs competition.

Great product. The sound is wonderful, even with equalizer set at 0 (flat). It is nice to have a variety of ear pieces. It was easy to get up and operational. Downloading the Sennheiser owner's manual first is definitely recommend as the printed quick start sheet was a little vague for me. I would recommend these wireless earbuds.

For the money, I feel these have excellent sound and fit. I've tried AirPods and Beats and neither would stay in my ears. I also feel the sound quality is better than those as well. The sound isolation has been very good and don't feel the need for ACN for my normal usage.

Best buds for the price

I purchased these on an end of year clearance. Great deal on excellent earbuds. They are kinda big but very comfortable on me. I usually wear them almost all day and most of the time I forget about them. They come with different size ear tips to fit almost any ear. The sound really blew me away. I have many different earbuds both wired and wireless and these are so much better, I mean really, really good. When people talk about the Sennheiser sound they don't exaggerate. It is that good. And the app for it is also really good. Very simple and you can customize not only the sound with the EQ. But also the tap functions. The standard tap functions are already intuitive but the ability to customize makes it even better. The battery life is much longer than stated as well. A charge easily lasts all day and even 2 days depending on my use. The case also works great. The magnet is perfect and it charges fast. These are my favorite buds and will be for years.

Troubleshooting tip for right ear bud

Troubleshooting tip - I saw a couple reviews stating the right ear bud went out on them. I had this happen this week. I put both of them into the charging case then took out the right one and put it in my ear. Then I tapped it several times quickly and it came back to life. Can't recall whether bluetooth was turned on or off on my device.

1'st set of ear buds. Arrived well packaged and paired up to my Galaxy J3v. so far so good. Went to the app to download and it says my device is incompatible. Attempted the download several times before calling Crutchfield tech. No resolution here as maybe my phone needs an upgrade, so says tech. Carrier Verizon contacted and after a prolonged wait and the hopeful upgrade they drop the call. My problem is at 75 and minimal tech knowledge, or patience to keep running a gauntlet to get something work leaves me at a loss.

Great sound, great price

Wow! Never experienced top of the line earbuds, but these are a substantial upgrade from my previous $50 earbuds. There's a blatant difference in sound quality. I like wearing my earbuds very loosely. Because of this my previous earbuds were constantly falling out. Luckily the Sennheiser buds are light in weight which keeps them in my ear. So far they haven't fallen out once. No real complaints so far. I highly recommend these to anybody looking for the best bang for the buck. (bought these on sale)

Although they appear larger than some, in ear they fit well and are not noticeable. Have medium soft cup and it stays well in my ear with reasonable activity. Sound is very good. I do notice a bit of artificial bass emphasis on some songs but can easily adjust this with the EQ app. Overall very happy with purchase.

Great quality for the price!

My third brand of earbuds and so far the best. Bought primarily for stable activities - phone calls, video calls for work. Comes with a variety of tip sizes, which is great for someone who has one slightly smaller ear canal. Good sound for me. Good quality mic when I'm on video calls. Some initial issues with visibility and pairing both with Apple products and Android phone but once my various devices "found" these earbuds, no further trouble. My only minor gripe is with the design: I wish the were oval instead of rectangular for comfort purposes over long duration use.

Better than the cheaper (sub $70) ear buds so far.

Wear them mostly at my desk. They do not integrate well with the standard windows audio drivers, and they make loud odd sounds when I get notifications for new emails, Teams notifications, etc. Going to try and download some different drivers to see if they help. They paired with my phone just fine and I assume this is what they were designed for but still disappointed they do not work well with HP laptop using the standard driver. They fit and feel good. They have the round earbuds which fit my ears better than the oblong type. The ear buds seal and hold the music in and block most of the external noise. They do not weigh much, and I don't notice any weight related issues while wearing them. I do not use them for exercise so I can't say they hold in my ear during vigorous activity. I believe the sound quality is better than the standard off the shelf Sony's, JBL's etc. I never had any "elite" type buds to compare to so I'll leave that comparison alone. I tend to hear the softer background tracks better than I did with the cheaper "off the shelf" buds. The sounds/tracks seem to be cleaner, and I can tell there is a difference between these and the cheaper buds. I have not had a pair of buds that have lasted for more than a year (wired or wireless) so I am hoping that buying a more expensive pair resolves this problem but only time will tell (have had them only for about a week so far). Overall I am pleased with them but can not certify that they are better than anything else

A/V Receiver Compatible Earbuds

Jonnie recommended Sennheiser CX earbuds b/c they would be compatible with my Yamaha RX-V6A receiver's Bluetooth. Not only are they compatible, they sound great and are easily controlled for volume by pressing them. Plus, they were on sale, saving me $50. Great quality audio at an affordable price

I am very impressed with the sound quality of the Sennheiser CX ear phones. These are very easy to set up and optimize using the app. At first I noticed that the volume was a bit low but this was a hearing protection setting on my phone, which I tweaked a little. I have been used these mainly for listening to music from high quality streaming services and for phone calls (iPhone). Connection to my iPhone was simple. I typically wear these while exercising and sometimes for around the house for phone calls. These are a great value for the sound quality and ease of use provided. The size of these are a consideration - a little larger than some competitive ear phones.

Very good for the price

I bought these to replace AirPods to use while walking. They fit and stay in place better, so that is a plus. The sould quality is generally very good, perhaps a little more refined and accurate to the source, but less exciting than the AirPods. They also block out more ambient sounds than the AirPods, so perhaps a good choice for air travel, etc. My only caveats are that sometimes only one side will sync to the phone, but I seemed to have solved that problem by inserting both pods simultaneously instead of one at a time. The other is that because of the fit, my footfalls while walking do make more noise in my ears. Overall, a great value especially when on sale. Your mileage may vary.

Sound is quite nice and the Equalizer app lets you customize sound to the way you like it, however. - they fall out of my ears after some time, especially if chewing, talking, or moving around. And yes I tried the larger ear inserts. - the touch-activated controls mean you will likely activate some kind of control if you take them out and put them in your pocket. or like if you touch them when it starts to fall out of your ear. - Finally there is no way to turn them off/disconnect them other than putting them in the charger box or turning off bluetooth on your device. Based on these factors I wish I spent the money elsewhere.

Great ear buds for the price

The Sennheiser CX True Wireless ear buds are great for the price. Music sounds good. I can cut the lawn using a push mower without having to turn them up too much. So, no noise canceling on the CX model does not bother me at all. I have not tried any calls with the CX, so I cannot speak about how that quality is. So far, they seem to stay paired with my S22 Ultra. No issues yet... Jinx. I have not tried to connect them to any other devices, so I cannot speak to how difficult or easy that is. So far, they stay in my ears while cutting the lawn. I get nervous, so I make sure they are in all the way still. Some people mention the bass in not great. I am a bass person, and in my opinion, these offer good bass. Not high bass, but good bass. Also, some people mention that you can't hear much of a bass difference with bass boost on using the app. I disagree. I can hear a bass difference with bass boost off and bass boost off. Overall, I'd totally recommend these to anyone.

I never thought these would fit well and stay put - but by golly they do! Sound reproduction is great - I didn't need the noise cancelling so the CX True were preferred - and they were on sale!!! The Bluetooth pairing is very straight forward and easy. Touch adjustments are easy to adapt to as well. The interchangeable ear domes work well too! The small ones work perfect for me.

Great sound and ease of use

This review is based upon using these earphones for daily for each of the 10 days I have had them. I bought an open box unit. Pros: Fantastic earphones in so many ways. Right out of the box, they popped into my ears easily and snugly without being uncomfortable; they paired instantly and held their connection; the sound quality is excellent. By returning them to their case after every use, they are always fully charged. The controls are simple to use, once you get used to them. For phone calls, I love keeping only one earphone in. They do not have noise cancelling, but the snug fit essentially cancels out background noise. I have worn them for 60-90 minutes at a time without discomfort. CONS: The app is abysmal. It paired exactly once. I tried restarting, resetting, reinstalling the app, my phone (Galaxy 9+), and my blue tooth, to no avail. On two occasions, the left earphone would not connect. I could hear beeps from it, so I know it was on, but it refused to connect. Eventually, I figured out that if I kept the right in the case and put the left in my ear, and then paired to my phone, I could then add the right and they worked fine.

Awesome sound

I purchased this product about a year ago, and it remains the best sounding in - ear bud that I own (non - workout). It comes with all size tips for a good fit, makes a seal to listen to great sounding bass but with a perfect upper mid-high to capture acoustic guitar and vocals (best of any I own...Apple, JBL, Cambridge Audio and Jabra.

Right earbud suddenly stopped working after 4 weeks

I've been using for less than a month and my right earbud stopped making sound. It will still function to play/pause/raise the volume, so I know the battery is fine but only the left earbud is outputting any sound, including the beeps. I have not gotten it wet or dropped it. Quite frustrating as the sound stage is nice.
