Overview: The Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless in-ear headphones (CXPLUSTW1) are two individual ear buds with no connecting wires. They connect to your smartphone or tablet (and to each other) via Bluetooth. Four pairs of silicone ear tips (XS, S, M, L) are included for a comfortable fit. The CX Plus True Wireless headphones come with a charging case for storage, and for recharging the batteries.

Drivers: The CX Plus True Wireless features 7mm TrueResponse dynamic transducers that deliver high-fidelity sound with clear treble, natural midrange, and deep bass. You can tailor the sound using the equalizer found in the Sennheiser Smart Control app, available for iOS and Android devices.

Active Noise Cancellation: Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) lets you immerse yourself in your music or phone call without the distraction of external noise. In-ear headphones typically provide effective passive isolation from ambient noise. When ANC is activated, a microphone on each earbud picks up and effectively reduces external noise, particularly continuous low-frequency noise, such as a fan or motor. You can use ANC even when you aren't listening to music to create a quiet space in a noisy environment.

Transparent Hearing Function: The Transparent Hearing function lets you hear ambient sounds or have short conversations without removing the ear buds. The built-in microphones pick up the external sounds to help you stay aware of your surroundings, hear public announcements at the train station or airport, or carry on a conversation while continuing to wear the ear buds. You can adjust the level of Transparent Hearing using the Sennheiser Smart Control app.

Bluetooth 5.2: The CX Plus True Wireless headphones feature Bluetooth version 5.2 which pairs to your phone or audio device in seconds. You can make and receive phone calls and stream audio wirelessly in a range of up to 33' (10 meters), depending upon environmental conditions. The headphones have a maximum of 10mW of output power, and have the following profiles: Hands-Free Profile (HFP), Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP), and Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). If your audio source supports aptX, aptX Adaptive, or AAC, music is automatically played in high audio quality. Otherwise, the headphones will play in standard audio quality (SBC).

Voice Assistants: The ear buds are compatible with the voice assistant that is activated to your smartphone, such as Siri or Google Assistant. Tapping the right ear bud 3 times activates the voice assistant for you to make a request or ask a question. You can also activate voice dialing through the voice assistant.

Voice Prompts: The ear buds output voice prompts to confirm events or headphone status. These voice prompts include "Power on," "Power off," "Connected," "No connection," "Pairing," "Pairing successful," "Pairing failed," "Recharge headset," "Call rejected," or "Call ended." In the Smart Control app, you can change the language of the voice prompts, choose between voice prompts and beep sounds, or deactivate some of the status messages.

Rechargeable Batteries: The CX Plus True Wireless headphones are powered by built-in 3.7VDC Lithium-Ion rechargeable batteries. Each earbud's has a 55 mAh battery, while the charging case has a 400-420 mAh battery. The complete charging cycle of the charging case and earphones is approximately 1.5 hours. A 10-minute Quick Charge provides about 1 hour of playback time. The battery in the charging case charges via USB-C power (5V, 600 mA) using the supplied cable from a laptop, an AC-powered USB charging port, or a mobile 12-volt USB charging port. Fully-charged batteries in the earbuds provide approximately 8 hours playback. The charging case provides enough stored power to charge the earbuds approximately 2 additional times, to extend the playback time to 24 hours.

Phone/Music Controls: Controls for music playback and phone call functions are located on separate earbuds. Both earbuds are equipped with touch-sensitive controls. You can control the volume up (hold right) or down (hold left). Music playback controls include play/pause (1x right), previous track (2x left), and next track (2x right). Phone call functions can be controlled on either the left or right earbud: accept call (1x), end call (1x), or reject call (2x). When you're on a call and another call comes in, you can tap either earbud to accept (1x) or reject (2x) the incoming call. Additional functions that can be controlled include voice assistant (3x right), Active Noise Cancelling (3x left), and Transparent Hearing Function (1x left).

Microphones: The CX Plus True Wireless earbuds are equipped with a dual microphone system in a beam-forming array. This pickup pattern helps to reduce ambient noise. The microphones have a 100Hz to 10kHz frequency response.

Sidetone Function: When using the CX Plus ear buds for phone calls, you may find it more comfortable to hear your own voice in the ear buds. The Sidetone function plays your audio through the ear buds during a phone call. You can activate or deactivate the function, or adjust the settings, in the Smart Control app.

Smart Control App: In addition to the on-board controls, the CX Plus True Wireless in-ear headphones can be controlled by Sennheiser's Smart Control app for Android and iOS devices. The app lets you customize the ear buds' on-board controls as you desire. Firmware updates for the earphones are also available through the app. The Smart Control app is compatible with iOS devices running version 13.0 and later, and Android devices with version 8.0 and up.
