Big impact, small footprint

Kicker's TL7T102 loaded enclosure brings the spectacular performance of their unique L7 square subwoofer design to smaller spaces than ever before. At only 7-1/4" deep, this box gives you the punch and high power-handling of a 10" speaker in a package that fits behind many truck seats.

Innovative square sub design

The package is designed around Kicker's Solo-Baric® L7T shallow-mount 10" subwoofer. The sub's unique SoloKon™ injection-moulded square polypropylene cone stays rigid to fight distortion at high volume and offers up to 20% more surface area than a standard round cone for extra impact, while the Santoprene rubber surround and solid steel basket keep the cone on track. With 500 watts RMS power handling, you'll get all the low end you're looking for and more.

Tough, stylish enclosure

The rugged sealed box is specially designed to bring out maximum performance from the speaker while taking up minimal space and allowing easy installation. The enclosure's sealed design keeps the bass punchy and accurate, and the sturdy medium-density fiberboard construction and tough black carpet covering protect the sub from damage while looking sharp. Kicker's legendary quality and innovative design deliver enormous low end in a surprisingly compact package.

Q
What is the cubic feet measurement of the enclosure?
dylan  Mar 30, 2024
1 answer
A
Hey Dylan, so Kicker has not disclosed the cu. ft. of airspace in that enclosure. That being said, Kicker suggests a Minimum Volume: 0.4 ft³ and a Maximum Volume: 1.0 ft³ for the sub itself so it will be within those parameters. Hope that helps!

Q
will this fit behind the seat of a 88 f150 single cab?
raymond  Mar 30, 2023
1 answer
A
We do not have measurements of the space behind the seats in your truck. The measurements for this subwoofer/enclosure are 20-1/4"W x 12"H x 7-1/4"D1 x 4-3/8"D2.

Q
This is a question ok I have 2 4ohm kicker ctv speakers with a skar 1200 rms 2 channel amp Iâ??m wantin a 3 rd good 10 thatâ??s capable of 5 thru 700 rms but was told I need a speaker capable or a 3ohm speaker is this speaker 3 ohm or anyone know if or are there 3 ohm speakers? I thought I could jus hook up a 3rd to that amp but the pros say to run 3 I need 4ohm speakers and a 3ohm capable 3rd 10 speaker is that right and are there 3 ohm speakers?

I won't be able to advise on products that we do not sell sadly David, but I can try to help. With custom, multi-subwoofer setups it is extremely important that you do not drop your impedance too low for the amplifier or damage can result. There are many combinations of wiring that can be used with multiple different subwoofer setups to generate a safe impedance for your amp. Use the link below to our subwoofer wiring guide, where we try to hit the easy button for you! https://www.crutchfield.com/learn/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html

Q
How do I wire them with 2x 46TL7T102 going to a 2ohm mono amp?
david  Jan 11, 2023
1 answer
A
It would not be possible to wire two of these together and achieve a 2-ohm impedance. With two 2-ohm subwoofers, you can only achieve either a 1-ohm or 4-ohm load. It would be necessary to use an amplifier that will offer the appropriate wattage for both subs at either 1- or 4-ohms.
zachary  Jan 11, 2023 (Staff)
Q
Does this sub have dual 4 ohm coils wired down to 2 ohm or is it a single 2 ohm coil?
francisco  Apr 12, 2022
1 answer
A
This enclosed subwoofer is a dual voice coil 4 ohm model wired to a 2 ohm impedance for matching an amp. We have advisors who can be reached by calling 1-800-324-9695 who can help give personals recommendations on a matching amp

Q
I'm running a kenwood x8025 with one of these subs already. Can I add a second identical sub or would that drop the ohms too low for the amp?
tim  Mar 20, 2022
1 answer
A
Find the ohms for both the subs and figure out your wiring options. How you wire them (series/parallel) will be what determines the ohms and how many watts will be drawn from your amp.

Q
If I want to turn this into a down fired woofer, what height should I make the legs from the speaker face? If for some reason this is a bad idea, talk me out of it.

We do not recommend converting this box to a down-firing box. It is better to get the raw subwoofer and build a downfiring box. The subwoofers can be found here: https://www.crutchfield.com/shopsearch/10%22_L7T.html#&nvpair=FFSubcategory|[rank446350]10%20Inch%20Subwoofers

I regret buying this subwoofer, the box is to small to give you deep bass. Kicker make very good subs, but this box is the problem.. Sorry I couldn't help you, but I only used this subwoofer for two weeks before I decided to go with a new box & 2-12" kickers .
michael  Jun 09, 2021
A
i would do a inch , but if you want to be on the safe side a inch and a quarter would clear it . i have 3 because 1 is just not enough , and if you are getting this 1 for the lack of space i understand

Q
How much room is required in front of the driver? What is the max excursion?
joshua n  May 12, 2021
1 answer
A
I couldn't tell you the excursion exactly but you could have it behind a seat if the back of the seat was just an inch or so away.

Q
Will this fit behind a tundra crewmax 21 model?
christopher l  Mar 09, 2021

A
Probably. It fit just fine behind the bench seat of my 94 single cab Chevy 1500 (and there was not much room behind the seat). It's a nice sub and super low profile

Q
Will this fit under rear seat of 2007 f150 crewcab?
marcus  Dec 28, 2020
3 answers
A
We did not measure the space under the rear seat of your 2007 F-150 crew cab pickup to know what might fit there. Since the terminals are on the side of the box, it can be laid down which makes it 20-1/4" wide x 12" deep x 7-1/4" tall on one end and 4-3/8" tall at the other end of the box
jason  Jan 14, 2021 (Staff)
A
I'm pretty sure it will. It fit perfectly under my 02 GMC Sierra extended cab
john  Jan 09, 2021
A
I don't think so, but will fit great behind the seats.

Q
Will this fit under the rear seats of a Chevy silverado trailboss crew cab ?
robert  Aug 11, 2020
2 answers
A
I would say that it would probably not. Keep in mind that rubber on the speaker is approximately 1/2 higher than the speaker box. Would not want to comprise that cause it will affect performance or just ruin it completely. I installed this in the rear of a Jeep Wrangler and it sounds awesome. I wish I would have installed 2 of them.
scott  Aug 11, 2020
A
I recommend measuring your available space under the seat and compare to the dimensions as listed. You'll want to leave 1" of free space above the subwoofer.
darrell  Aug 11, 2020
Q
Will this fit behind the back seats on a 2006 Silverado crew cab?
jp  Mar 24, 2020
1 answer
A
No there will likely not be enough depth behind the seat (without modifications) for that enclosure.

What kicker amp do you recommend fr this sub?
gerard  Feb 28, 2020

Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best amp for your subs I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help determine the differences between the amp models and help you make the best choice for your system.
