The KSS6904 6"x9" component system features two quality woofers, two powerful tweeters, and two external crossovers. Pro versatility
Kicker also gives you the option of screwing the component tweeters on in place of the woofer's removable phase plug, giving you a coaxial speaker that benefits from the superior performance of an external crossover. Installed as 2-way speakers, you can aim the tweeters to direct high-frequency response in your vehicle.
Great with all kinds of power
While we'd recommend using an aftermarket amp to power this system, Kicker gave the KS Series a highly sensitive design that conjures hefty volume even from low-powered factory radios.

Woofer Cones: The Kicker KS-series speakers feature durable Polypropylene woofer cones, resistant to the moisture and temperature extremes found in automotive applications.
Woofer Mounting Mounting Brackets: In addition to fitting standard 6x9 applications, Kicker includes a pair of mounting brackets to install the woofers in several vehicle-specific applications. Please enter your vehicle information to confirm fit.
Tweeter Mounting Options: The tweeters come with brackets to allow multiple mounting configurations; flush-mount, angle-mount, and surface-mount. The surface mount pods are mounted to a threaded, hollow shaft and have a ball-and-socket joint, so they can be turned in any direction, and angled up to approximately 30°.

Coaxial Tweeter Mount: In addition to standard tweeter mounting options, the included tweeter mounting posts let you mount the tweeters directly to the center of the woofers, giving you a standard coaxial speaker. The tweeter can be angled up to 12° when coaxially mounted. When the tweeter is attached to the woofer the mounting height increases to 0.59" (top mount) and the tweeter protrusion increases to 0.213" (bottom mount).
Crossovers: The component system includes 12 dB/octave passive crossovers for the tweeters. (Both the woofers and tweeters are wired through the crossovers, but only the tweeters are filtered.) The crossover point is 4,000 Hz. A switch on each crossover allows you to adjust the tweeter output; 0 dB, +4.5 dB, or +9 dB. Each crossover has input and output wires are attached; the 34" woofer output has quick slides that connect directly to the woofer terminals and the 32" tweeter output has quick slides that mate to the terminals on the wire attached to the tweeter. The crossovers' dimensions are:

. The by 9s are getting 65w rms from a CXA360.4 and the tweets are getting 50w rms from a Key 200.4. Crisp, clean, loud highs with a LR HP crossover at 4K. The 6x9s are crossed over at 71 and 314. The mid bass just thumps.
