For more impactful performance, each 3" speaker employs a "Boundary Free" rubber surround with its enhanced pressed pulp and cotton fibre woofer to move more air with accuracy.
The woofer's V-cone design improves dispersion of the midrange details that make vocals and instruments sound more lifelike. Superior damping is also key to the sound of these speakers — minimized resonance reduces distortion for a truer-to-life sound.

Features
Boundary Free Surround: This technology provides more cone surface area than other speakers of the same size, enabling it to move more air. The surrounds are made of rubber, ensuring thermal and mechanical linearity.
Klippel Verified: The Klippel distortion analyzer, a device that uses a laser and computer software to do large-scale analysis of drivers in motion, helps Hertz optimize the speaker's motor structure, voice coil alignment, and suspension to yield the best possible performance.
Grille: The three piece grille can be used several different ways. All three pieces (black plastic frame, gray plastic inner grill, and black steel mesh) can be mounted together. The frame and mesh can be mounted without the inner grille, the frame and inner grille can be mounted without the mesh, and the inner grille can be mounted alone.
Power: The power handling specification (100 watts peak) is only valid when using a high-pass crossover, 250 Hz and 12 dB/octave minimum.
Crossover: A crossover is necessary for the MP 70.3, but is not included.
