The 15-foot cable features a male USB (type-A) connector and a male HDMI connector on one end which plug into the rear-panel USB port and HDMI input of your in-dash multimedia receiver. On the other end, you'll find female USB and HDMI jacks for connecting your audio/video source. Warranty: 1 year.

HDMI & USB Extension Cable: The Alpine HDMI/USB Extension Cable (KCU-315UH) connects to the rear-panel USB port and HDMI input of your in-dash multimedia receiver or rear entertainment system and provides a more convenient location at the front of the vehicle to plug in your USB and HDMI compatible devices.

Note: The cable's USB connection is fully compatible with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.

HDMI & USB Connections:  The Alpine KCU-315UH features a male USB (type-A) connector and a male HDMI connector which plug into the rear-panel USB port and HDMI input of your in-dash multimedia receiver or rear entertainment system. On the other end of the extension cable is a female USB (type-A) port and a female HDMI input to connect your compatible USB memory device and HDMI component.

15' Cable Length: The Alpine KCU-315UH extension cable is 15' in length.

Mounting Options: The Alpine HDMI/USB extension cable's female connector end can be flush-mounted. It features integrated tabs on the end that secure it within the cutout.

I had to use a burr on a right angle grinder as a drill would not fit in my chosen location. The specs state Cutout Dimensions: 1.0625" (w) x 1.0" (h) x 1.8125" (d) Outer Dimensions: 1.625" (w) x 1.6875" (h) x 0.3125" (d) I did not measure when I was done to doublecheck, but I would say the description is accurate. The housing has locking tabs on the backside to clip it into the panel. I did not get my whole A Perfect Circle, but because of the tabs it still went in very snug and is not coming out unintentionally.

I'm not sure what size the hole is. I removed my cigarette light and replaced it with this product. I did use a dremel to notch the opening. There is a tab on the plastic insert that keeps it in place and notching the opening accommodated the product fitment.

The plug end has 2 small clips that will hold it in if the correct size hole is drilled. I used a 1 inch bit and slowly widened it until the end clipped in tightly. Hope this helps
