About the PAC APH-CH01 AmpPro Harness

Bob Bihlmayer

PAC APH-CH01 interface

PAC's APH-CH01 speaker wiring interface allows you to add an aftermarket amplifier or amplifiers in select 2007-2018 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM vehicles with factory amplified sound systems. The APH-CH01 connects to the plug on your factory amp that combines all the speaker wires coming out of your factory amp (you will need to make hardwire connections at the aftermarket amplifier). You won't have to cut off any plugs — you'll need to leave the factory amp connected. This interface requires PAC's AP4-CH21, AP4-CH31, or AP4-CH41 AmpPRO modules (sold separately). Warranty: 1 year.

Product Research

Features

Amplifier Installation Harness: The APH-CH01 installation harness simplifies speaker wire connections when using one of PAC's AmpPRO modules AP4-CH21, AP4-CH31, and AP4-CH41 R.2 (all sold separately) to add an aftermarket amplifier or amplifiers in select 2007-2020 Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, RAM, and Volkswagen vehicles that feature factory amplified sound systems. The APH-CH01 keeps you from having to cut or modify your vehicle's original factory wiring, providing a simpler connection at the vehicle's original factory amplifier location (you will need to make hardwire connections at the aftermarket amplifier/s).

Vehicle Compatibility: The PAC The APH-CH01 installation harness can be used in select 2007-2020 Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, RAM, and Volkswagen vehicles with factory amplified sound systems (requires compatible PAC AmpPRO module - AP4-CH21, AP4-CH31, and AP4-CH41 R.2). Please enter your vehicle information to confirm compatibility.

Q
I purchased the pac ap4 ch21 for my 2012 ram 1500 with alpine system. Anyways. I dont really need that extra accessory if im running new speaker wires from new amps to the speakers rite?
luis  Nov 03, 2022

A
Correct. If you are running new speaker wire from aftermarket amplifiers out to your speakers, then you will not need the APH-CH01.

Q
Im trying to bypass my amp because I burned it will this still work so I can add an aftermarket one running new speaker wire?

This will depend largely on your vehicle. For details on installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on what you will need for an installation.

Will this work with a 2020 Jeep Gladiator with the Alpine System? Only wanting access to the speaker leads. They will run into a JL Audio Unit.

I couldn't tell you. We have a 2013 wrangler unlimited and used it to keep the stock head unit and run custom amp sub and mids
ismael  Oct 26, 2020
A
According to PAC the harness for your vehicle is APC-CH03.
angel  Oct 25, 2020

If it's the premium upgraded sound system yes. If its the standard Alpine system you need the V2 version.

Q
Do I need this adapter to with the PAC Amp Pro #541AP4CH41 on my stock 8.4" Alpine system for a 2019 Jeep JLU? My plan is to install a 5 channel amp and run the RCA's from the pac amp pro to the amp and new speaker wire to my new speakers.

Q
Does the dash and front door speaker still split off of the same channel when using this?

A
This harness has separate wires for the tweeters and woofers allowing you to install component speakers using the new amp and speaker crossover to make sure each driver get the proper audio. It also offers a way to still power any remaining stock speakers with the stock amp.

A
No idea. I'm using it solely for my subwoofer
ruben  Sep 11, 2020
A
No. The center channel is a dedicated channel off the factory amp. Using this harness, you have the option to keep it tied to the factory amp, split it off and connect it separately, or just disconnect the speaker.

Q
Do you have to use the amp pro ap4-ch41 with this harness? Or can I just use the harness to integrate a amp in addition to the stock amp?

Is this compatible with the 5 inch screen RA2 ram uconnect without factory amplifiers?

you will need the R2 pac module to go with this harness in order to make work I believe. Call Pac support.
david lee  Mar 12, 2020
A
If memory serves me correctly it was a perfect match up to the factory harness so it should work
daniel  Mar 04, 2020
Q
Do I have to use the PAC AmpPRO AP4-CH41 Aftermarket Amplifier Interface with this harness or can I used something like the LC7i with this harness instead? I have a 2015 Dodge Challenger RT with the 6 speaker Alpine system. I want to bypass the factory amp, install one aftermarket amp for the 6 speakers (to be upgraded) and install a second amp for a subwoofer.

Hi Scott, thank you for your question. The PAC AmpPRO AP4-CH41 is designed to be used with the PAC APH-CH01. This will simplify connections, and will provide you with a plug and play connection at your factory amp location without modifying, tapping, or cutting into your vehicles factory wiring.Chat with us online or by phone at 1-800-324-9695, an Advisor will be happy to go over this in more detail with you.

I missed something in my answer above... In addition to the wiring harness, I got a PAC AMPRO 4 AP4 CH41 Amplifier integration interface. That was the key and it did so much more for me than the LC7i would have done. The LC7i would have been great, but like I said, I wanted to retain my factory head unit so the PAC device was the key.
