The sealed enclosure provides optimum sound quality, and the rugged industrial vinyl coating protects it wherever you choose to install it. High- and low-level inputs allow you to connect it to any system, while the included remote knob lets you adjust bass intensity from the driver's seat. Product Research

Overview: The Rockford Fosgate Punch P300-10T is an all-in-one bass solution featuring a 10" woofer and a built-in 300 watt RMS amplifier in an enclosure made from 5/8" MDF. Its slim form is designed to easily fit behind seats in pickup trucks, while taking up as little usable space as possible.

Integrated Amplifier: The 10" woofer is powered by a built-in Class-D amplifier rated at 300 watts RMS/600 watts peak. The closed-loop designed ensures optimum performance of the woofer, amplifier, and enclosure system.

Quick Disconnect Power/Ground: The power, ground, and remote turn-on wires attach to a quick disconnect terminal block, so the subwoofer can be easily removed when you need more storage space. Each terminal is a set screw, with the power and ground accepting up to 4 gauge wire (minimum 8 gauge recommended) and the remote turn-on will accept up to 8 gauge wire.

Audio Inputs: The amplifier section will accept either a line level (RCA) or speaker level signal. The included 12" input harness has a Molex plug on one end and female stereo RCA jacks on the other. When using a speaker level input, the RCA jacks get cut off and spliced into the factory wires.

Input Switch: The Input Switch is set based on the incoming signal type:

  • Low-Level: Used when connecting and RCA level signal into the amp. Range is from 150mV to 6V.
  • High-Level: Used when connecting the subwoofer using a speaker-level input signal. Range is from 400mV to 12V.

Auto Turn-On: The Auto Turn-On switch offers three options:

  • REM: the amp turns on when +12 volts DC is applied to the remote terminal
  • DC Offset: the amp turns on when a 6 volt surge is detected on the signal inputs (from a speaker level source)
  • Audio: the amp turns on when an incoming audio signal is detected (can be used with line level or speaker level inputs)

Gain Control: The rotary gain control allows you to match the output level of your headunit to the input level of the powered subwoofer.

Crossover: The 12 db/oct low-pass crossover is always engaged; the crossover point is adjustable from 50 to 200 Hz.

Bass Boost: Use the rotary dial to adjust the bass boost; continuously variable from 0 to +12 dB, centered at 45 Hz.

Phase: A switch allows you to reverse the phase of the subwoofer (0°, 180°).

Protection Circuit: The P300-10T is equipped with thermal overload, over voltage, and short circuit protection. The amplifier will shut down if any of these situations is encountered.

Punch Level Control: A wired Punch Level Control is included so you can adjust the output level from the driver's seat. The remote has a bracket to mount it under the dash. The included 16-1/2' cable, with a 3.5mm stereo mini-plug on each end, connects the remote to the subwoofer.

Note: The Punch Level Control measures approximately 2-3/8" wide x 1" high x 2" deep (3-1/2" deep including the knob and cable).

Dimensions: The dimensions listed in Features and Specs include the subwoofer's grille, and the power and signal wiring harnesses, which add approximately 1.0" and 1.5" respectively. The depth of just the enclosure is 7.563" at the base and 4.750" inches at the top. The width without wiring is 21.813".

Will this fit in a 2008 Honda Ridgeline? If not what about the p300- 10?
[ Tyesha  Sep 30, 2022 ]
1 answer
It is unlikely that either will fit a 2008 Ridgeline. Unfortunately that vehicle has very little room for subwoofer enclosures. Perhaps we could use an underseat subwoofer. Please chat with our advisors via the website or give us a call at 1-800-324-9695 for further assistance.

I'm not going to be installing this myself, is there anything else accessory wise I will need to buy? Any amps recommended to go with it? I have a 2015 Lexus RX450h (hybrid) I don't have Mark Levinston sound system there are 12 factory speakers.
[ Umber  Sep 09, 2022 ]
1 answer
You do not need an amplifier with this subwoofer. It is self-powered with its own built-in amplifier. You will need an amp wiring kit to go with this subwoofer for power and ground connections. Here's a link to a good kit for the job:

will this fit behind the rear seat of a quad cab 2014 ram 1500?
[ russell  Sep 02, 2022 ]
1 answer
We do not qualify fit on these universal fit subwoofers Russel, so measure carefully! This unit dimensions are 23-3/8"W x 13-3/8"H x 8-9/16"D1 x 5-3/4"D2. The smaller D2 measurement is for the top of the box where it is at its thinnest depth wise. Even if you measure as best as possible, anything that doesn't fit to your needs can be returned within 60 days. That's your satisfaction guarantee, baked in with every order! What I can say is IF it does fit, these Rockford Fosgate P300-10T powered subs absolutely bang!

Will this fit behind the seat in a 1998 S10 regular cab pickup?
[ Anthony  Jul 03, 2022 ]
1 answer
The dimensions we have for your truck were taken behind the driver's seat. Width (side to side) = 26", Depth (front to rear) = 6 1/2" at bottom, 4" at top, Height = 22". This enclsoure measures 23-3/8"W x 13-3/8"H x 8-9/16"D1 x 5-3/4"D2. The bottom of the enclsoure where the wedge is larger might be a problem. Judging by the measurements we got it doesn't appear the depth will allow this to fit. It might be worth double checking the dimensions in your truck to see if this would fit properly.

What size in-line fuse should I utilize on the power cable?
[ Jason  Apr 01, 2022 ]
1 answer
It comes with an InLine fuse. They also offer a starter pack to hook up this powered woofer. It's what I used to hook in to my Factory system in my 2018 Ram. It took me about 2hours as I hide all the wires and used their directions to the letter. An was never let down. Totally blast the cab out. Not much noise outside but dude it cranks my ITunes like I'd never heard. For the price. I'd buy three times over. Just follow their instructions and you can trust The Crutchfield team. They been around since my first install I did back in 1989.
[ JEFF  Apr 01, 2022 ]
What are the exact dimensions of this? The dimensions in the Overview section does not match those on Rockford Fosgate's website, and the ones in the installation manual are different too...
[ Philben  Feb 15, 2022 ]
1 answer
The measurements we list are the ones we found when we measured one of them ourselves. It is exactly 23.313" wide (w/wiring), 13.375" tall, and 8.563" at the bottom/5.750" deep at the top (w/grille)

I have an f250 and it fits behind the back seat
[ RYAN  Jan 16, 2022 ]
it can fit if the chair is folded but it would be an unusable space. Also note that the strong vibration power is annoying for some people, luckily it brings you a controller where you can control the power. There are other smaller options on the market that fit under the chair but may not pack the punch people are looking for. The connection is also a factor to consider, the one I have connects to the back of the radio because it is a store bought radio, I bought it specifically for that rca output for low frequencies. If the vehicle has the original radio, it will not have the rca output on the back of the radio, you will have to put a connector that they sell separately and it will have that rca output. The cable connector or extension will avoid cutting the original cables, in this way it does not affect the vehicle warranty. I explain all this to you because I don't know if you have an installer that tells you what is needed to connect this type of equipment. Remember not to put the positive cable which is the power cable on the same side as the audio cables to prevent interference from entering the speakers. I personally didn't have an installer and it took me months of studying to hook up my own equipment to get it right. If you have any questions write me again, I will gladly help you, This message is translated by the google translation tool since my main language is Spanish, I apologize if any word or phrase is mistranslated and sounds like some kind of offense or bad wordEnter an answer to this question.

Im not sure, my truck is regular cab. Fits perfectly in center. Adds tremendous bass. Not thumping the car next to you,but certainly shakes the rear view.

[ Juan  Dec 26, 2021 ]
Is there a typo on the fuse on this or does this really not have anywhere close to 300W? The page is showing 2x10Amp fuses which means the fuses will start to blow well below 300W as you can't even get 300W peak input power to this, let alone true 300W RMS. Is RockfordFosgate just being ultra-liberal with the power advertising?
[ Daniel  Oct 16, 2021 ]
1 answer
If anything, Rockford Fosgate under-rates their gear. However, we do not know enough about what's happening in the electronics in this sub to 100% confirm how they are getting the watts. It does seem like a power inversion is taking place to change the 12.5-14.4V input power to something higher. We recommend contacting Rockford Fosgate's support to inquire on exactly how they are getting the RMS watts on 20A fuse protection

The P300-10T is for truck application . So, it will fit behind the seat .
[ CHAD  Apr 08, 2021 ]
Look at the enclosure dimensions, the T unit is wider.
[ Mark  Apr 08, 2021 ]
The enclosure for the "T" model is shaped to fit behind the seat of a truck while the non-"T" model is more of a standard type enclosure.
[ Bernard  Apr 08, 2021 ]
The 10t is in an angled truck box that tappers up to the top to fit behind a back seat.
[ Nicholas  Apr 08, 2021 ]
I believe the difference is the T is more of a truck box for behind the seat, it's a little bit thinner and taller for tight spacer. They do sound awesome! Hope this helps

What wiring harness do I need to hook the subwoofer to my factory stereo in my 2012 chevy crew cab?
[ Brian  Feb 25, 2021 ]

If you have the two plug in ports in the back of your stereo for subwoofer you'll need that style cable with that style plugs, and power wire I believe you can run from the blue wire in your wire harness on your stereo.Your main power to the amp I run directly from the positive on battery an ground I kept as short as possible, like drill it into the floor with a self tapping bolt.Power an ground I used 10gauge with an inline fuse on positiveEnter

Don't know how much room you have below your seat man as I installed in 17 Super Duty. Would fit under my seat but would not go far enough back for my liking. Ended up pushing cab insulation back, removing grill, and putting behind rear seat. Sub is counter sunk approx. 5/8" and the grill trim ring is approx. 1" thick so I am not worried about damage to sub being behind seat w/ out grill

The Truck box is longer or the width than the other one about 4.6 inches. Also the truck box is a little bit thinner at the top by 3/8 of an inch. The bottom is also thinner with a difference of almost 1 1/4 of an inch.

You can PiggyBack the High level input for your sub to an existing speaker without loosing functionally of the speaker.
[ WILLIAM  Apr 12, 2020 ]
You will not lose the function of the speaker. Once everything is connected, the speaker will work normally and you will have good bass from the sub.

We don't have any official information on it, but given the specs and box size, its closest to the P3 10" shallow subwoofer. You may try calling Rockford Fosgate on 800-669-9899 to find out which model subwoofer they used here and if it is one that is sold by itself
[ Paul  Oct 09, 2019 ]  Staff
The subwoofer is a punch 12 and has a 300 watt rating. I have mine behind the seat in a full size single cab ram and having been a teen in the beginning of the 90's with lowriders and beds full of speakers, this one is GREAT for just enough to not be over-powering. Rockford Fosgate has always been my go to for mid level sound (MTX also but RF is a little clear sounding instead of just bass). If your roll up the windows you can just here the thump outside but inside is like a club! Windows down good bass song about a quarter of a mile notice meter during the day and probably a mile or so at night in the country! It is a nice sounding system which is quick to install and durable as well. Wife left the passenger side window down during Tropical Irma's rainstorm and my truck was soaked the next day but the speaker was behind driver. It got wet some on the amp side and box but still booming like the day I got it. I have the scratch and dent one also! Just Buy IT! LOL! Hope this helps. God Bless.
[ WILLIAM J  Oct 08, 2019 ]
It's a ten inch woofer, I did not take it apart and look for a raw frame part number. It does work very well, however, but bear in mind it's an infinite baffle sub, so "tight". It shelves off at 30 hz, So not a great choice if you want to go "bumping" with bass that shakes the rear view mirror. But what it does do is extend the bass down well in a musical way. We put it in my daughters Rav4, with the volume control, and the Crutchfield supplied, splice thing that taps into the rear speakers, to feed the subwoofer. It sounds really good with the hip hop tracks she loves. . She runs it pretty loud. It doesn't distort, but it isn't going down to 18HZ like a good theatre subwoofer, or a competition car thing.

Can I lay this flat on its back. My Kia Sorento has a underfloor storage and that's where I want to have it so I won't lose my cargo space ?
[ BRUCEBRUCE  Jul 23, 2019 ]

Yes you can
[ David  Aug 18, 2019 ]
Yes you can, the terminations go into one end. You'll just need to look at how the wires will dress into the unit. Dependent on the tilt direction you want, you may need to run the wires across the width of the unit. It will work well, we are very happy with ours. We found less cargo space loss, putting it upright, on an oversized aluminum plate, velcro "hook" keeps it in place just fine.

I'm going to take signal from current attachment at rear deck sub. Do I then attach those two sub wires to +L and +R at the RF input jack or just - and +R RF input? 2016 Lexus ES 350 non ML stereo.
[ David  Jun 13, 2019 ]
2 answers
I spoke to a tech at Rockford. I can connect the two wires from the OEM deck subwoofer to either the left input+ and - or the right side + and - input on the powered sub from Rockford. It will work fine even if I leave the OEM sub connected too.
[ David  Jun 13, 2019 ]
The sub is designed to take a STEREO input utilizing signal from both the L and R inputs. One option would be to parallel the L+ & R+ and connect it to one of the subs wires, then lake the L- & R- and connect it to the remaining wire going to the sub. Another option would be to connect the L +/- to the left rear speaker(not sub) and the R +/- to right rear speaker. This may be more desirable as the sub will usually have its own amplification with some boost or other equalization applied that may make tuning your new sub more difficult.
