Bad BT Reception!!
Joseph from Santa Rosa, CA on 3/22/2025
Bluetooth reception awful!! I'm literally ten feet from this receiver and it's choppy. Unbelievable! I've never experienced this horrid crackling and dropping signal in the same room; god forbid you go in another room - you'll lose connectivity completely!
Pros: Sounds good when it's not dropping Bluetooth signal.
Cons: Loses Bluetooth signal from ten feet away! Worst Bluetooth I've personally ever experienced.

Bringing back vinyl
Nona from Grand Rapids, MI on 5/11/2024
When deciding to revisit listening to Albums, I called my friend the Music Editor, of a major guitar magazine of over 35 years. I bought exactly what her told me to buy, working perfectly with my budget. I'm so impressed by my new equipment from Crutchfield! The sound is smooth and clear. I love the feature of auto off if I forget to turn it off. Listening to albums has been a pleasure!
Pros: The sound, The feel
Cons: I have to turn the volume control a lot to be loud, but it not really much of a con.

Grerat Audiophile Starter
Crutchfield customer from Heidelberg, MS on 3/11/2024
Great Audiophile entry amp! It sounds sonically level and has enough power to fill a 12 x12.5 x 8 listening room. Sleek low key appearance makes it blend well into the room without taking much space and a minimalist-looking amp!
Pros: Small in height, Sounds great and balanced, has a Subwoofer output, 4 digital inputs, and 3 analog.
Cons: Small remote control, no Pre-outs

Clean design, but with several disappointments
S from Los Angeles, CA on 4/15/2023
Good basic integrated amp, but overpriced for the minimalist features and truly horrible remote control. I've wanted to own an NAD stereo since I was a kid, and I finally splurged and bought this integrated amp for a discounted price. I was initially thrilled to finally own an NAD, but after using it for a while, I've discovered the limitations and frustrations with NAD. Now that I've used the C 328 for several months, I am no longer enamored with NAD, and I wish I would have bought a different model or brand instead. The Bluetooth works very well--easy to pair, and worked great. Power: On sensitive speakers like Klipsch bookshelves, it sounds pretty good. Loud and dynamic. But after I bought a pair of KEF Q350 speakers, this C 328 sounds weak and flat. It just doesn't seem to be able to drive the KEFs very well--I have to turn up the volume quite a bit to get the same loudness, and it just doesn't provide the same punch. No Preamp Outputs: After feeling like I needed more power, I started shopping for a power amp. But then I realized that the C 328 does not have pre-amp outputs. So just be aware, you can't add a separate amp if your needs change. No tone controls: The significantly cheaper NAD C316BEE V2 integrated amp has tone controls, but this more expensive C 328 does not. Frustrating. Remote: The remote is shockingly bad. $2 of plastic that has to point directly at the infrared sensor to work. So disappointing for an a
Pros: Clean minimalist design, compact, simple, easy to use, sounds pretty good, stays cool, sub output
Cons: Inexcusably bad remote control, not a lot of power, no tone controls, no pre-amp outputs

Comprehensive review at Stereophile.com that captures the strengths of the product. https://www.stereophile.com/content/nad-c-328-integrated-amplifier I've had a number of NAD products but this one seems right on point for value and quality. Pair it with some nice bookshelf speakers in the 1-2K range and you have a lovely set up.

Not Enough Power
Crutchfield customer from ELK GROVE, CA on 3/29/2022
The space I intended to use this amp in isn't particularly large. So I thought I didn't need an abundance of power. That was a swing and a miss on my part. The amp puts out a clean sound, but it doesn't have enough punch, regardless of how much volume you apply. Sure, it gets loud if you keep spinning the volume knob, but the sound is too thin. I've tried 3 different sets of speakers. Same result. I don't hate this amp. It's just not right for me.
Pros: The Bluetooth works great! Connectivity is never an issue, and range is better then expected. The design is nice and it has a small footprint. If you're cramped for space, this might do the trick
Cons: If you're power needs are modest, this will probably work for you. If you're expecting room-filling sound, go with a beefier amp.

Excellent and Enjoyable!
Alan from Rome, GA on 1/5/2022
I have been living with the C328 for a couple of months now. I have used it in two very different rooms, with two very different pairs of speakers (BR03s, ELAC F6.2s.) Sources have been BT from both a phone and a computer, a CD player as is and as a transport, a turntable, and TV audio. The amp presents as neutral as far as tone. It doesn't really color the sound one way or the other. It is lively in that it had no problem driving the ELACs. Pairing with the BR03s is the sweet spot. The phono input has a decent moving magnet pre-amp making this a user friendly amp for digital, analog, and turntable use. The DAC is good. In comparison to the DAC from the CD player used (an AXC35) it is smoother, more airy and spacious, and has more presence in the mids and lows with the highs somewhat rolled off. Probably above par for integrated amps at this price point. BT connectivity is solid and stable. I have experienced no dropped signals. There are no tone controls, just the bass boost, so choose your speakers wisely. Caveats: The display panel is small. You will not be able to read it from across the room. The volume knob is odd in that it has more resistance than I expected. Most of the time I make adjustments using the remote, so, not really an issue. And I don't think anybody designs with "knob feel" considerations anymore. Bottom line: It's about the sound. The sound is excellent. I thoroughly enjoy listening to the C328!
Pros: minimalist design, good DAC
Cons: small display, wonky feel to volume knob

The c328 Meets my Needs
Crutchfield customer from Fort Worth, TX on 3/24/2021
The 328 meets my present needs. I'm retired and live alone in a one bedroom apartment. I love music. The better it sounds the more I love it. I gave away my cd and record collection to my kids a long time ago. I haven't had a sound system for years. I do have some Polk bookcase speakers. So I decided two weeks ago to get an integrated amp and set up a new system. Spent lots of time on the internet for reviews. The main reason I got the 328 is that it has Bluetooth so that I would be able to stream Spotify etc to the amp from my desktop. That worked. And it sounds great. I want a transparent sound. So be aware that the 328 has no tone controls. I'm an audio gear geek. I built some great sounding tube preamp and amp kits in the 60s. It feels really good to get back into high res audio. My plan is to add and switch out some of the components from time to time. I've considered upgrading the 328 to a 338 because the 338 has Wifi. I talked to Crutchfield support rep about it and they were great.

I'm using this receiver in my shop which gets very hot in the summer, this receiver runs cooler than anything else previously used and should last a lot longer.

Rocks and Rules
Patrick from SAVOY, IL on 8/6/2020
I recently bought a new pair of speakers and was running them from a decent quality but 20 year old AV receiver. They sounded okay, but I figured that the receiver was probably due for a replacement. Went with an integrated amp because I mostly listen to music. Honestly, I wasn't expecting there to be that much of a difference in sound quality. Boy was I wrong. My new speakers sound so much better through this NAD. Clarity and detail are outstanding, and I am getting better bass response as well. I listen to a variety of different music, and so far everything sounds better. Very pleased with this purchase.
Pros: excellent music quality
Cons: remote is tiny

Great audio performance from many sources.
Seve from Hendersonville, NC on 7/30/2020
Just purchased this. Small footprint so nicely unobtrusive in a nicely furnished room. Easy to set up with just the quick guide and the remote. Very intuitive. The sound is great: clear and detailed, but with nice movement. This includes all inputs. The built in dac for the coaxial and optical inputs is a big step up from dacs you would have found in multi thousand dollar units just a few years ago. Nice soundstage and separation if the recording is of high quality. I tried it with cd's, tv programs, digital music sources through my tv's streaming stick. As for the analog inputs, they too provide a wide and spacious soundstage, clarity, and separation. This is where I feed Tidal from my computer through an external dac (ifi audio Zen dac and headphone amp) via the analog line into the NAD. Even the amp's Bluetooth capability is well implemented, producing excellent musicality. I'm very pleased. Hope it holds up for many years.
Pros: Superior musical performance Ease of setup and use Unobtrusive size makes it a good match for a nicely furnished room
Cons: If unfamiliar with audio components, setup documentation might be lacking For some, the unit's not having a USB input might be a problem. There are workarounds: a streaming source such as game console or bluray player that has a coax or optical out, using the Bluetooth, purchase an external dac to run the USB into with an analog line out into the NAD.

poorly equalized dac
b from Laurel, MD on 6/23/2020
Not bad, but the DAC is really uneven. If you are only using analog inputs it will be a fine amp. However, when using the optical input the sound just has no mids. Switching back to sending an old dac through the analog inputs really helped. The DAC had plenty of detail, and in that respect it was better than my old one, but it was so over equalized that it was uncomfortable to listen to. Maybe it was designed for smaller speakers that have attenuated highs and lows? The amp itself is great. It was a noticible improvement from my old 316 bee in terms of detail and dynamics. But part of the reason I bought this was for a DAC upgrade.
Pros: lightweight plenty of power good clean sound sub out auto power on/off
Cons: awful dac

Solid, no frills unit - excellent sound quality!
Crutchfield customer from Canandaigua, NY on 6/3/2020
This is an excellent unit. I bought it to replace an older NAD integrated amplifier that started to have some issues. However, I also wanted a unit with a digital converter. This unit is simple - no bells or whistles. But that is what I wanted. The Bluetooth works great with my iPhone, and the coaxial and digital inputs sound great. This unit is super quiet - no noise. But has a great sound. I wish there was a little more ability to EQ the sound, but the bass enhancers works great.

NAD C 328
Crutchfield customer from Louisville, KY on 3/8/2019
I've owned NAD products for years, and the C 328 is my latest purchase. Very clean and powerful amplifier at 50 W / side, but seems much stronger. I have small A/D/S 4 ohm bookshelf speakers, and an SVS sub. It doesn't have a tuner, but the Bluetooth suits me fine. It doesn't have balance control, but I have never used it in the past on any 2 channel stereo units. I intend on connecting my 4K tv, 4K dvd, and my Audio Technica turntable in the future. The remote controlis tiny, but capable enough to make changes to the settings on the unit easily.

Marvelous sounding amp. Thought I also purchased new speakers! That's how good it sounds. Playing through Yamaha bookshelves and a Yamaha powered sub. My vinyl collection sounds just as good. Bluetooth is flawless with my phone or my old Apple I Pod. Bass EQ adds just the right amount of "punch" if needed. Cool running unit. After hours of listening it is barely warm to the touch. A winner!
Pros: All the digital inputs. Excellent phono amp. Headphone amp is also great sounding.

Overkill for a computer amplifier, but I love it!
Jose from Midway City, CA on 8/31/2018
This NAD integrated amplifier does not disappoint! I needed a stereo amplifier for my speakers connected to my computer so I splurged and I bought the NAD. Even though it does not have tone controls, the sound is amazing. I have it connected to OrbAudio speakers (4) and an OrbAudio mini subwoofer to my computer. I would say it's a bit of overkill, but I love it. The BlueTooth option is great. I can connect it to my tablet without problems. I am using an optical cable and the built-in DAC. If I could improve the NAD amplifier, I would add a USB option on the front. I like the power switch on the back so that it uses absolutely no power when it's off. I have not used the remote, but I'm glad it came with a remote. It has plenty of input options and a headphone output on the front. Overall, I am satisfied with Crutchfield service and the NAD amplifier. It makes my MP3s sound great!
Pros: sound, input options, headphone output on the front, power switch on the back, Bass EQ button, BlueTooth option
Cons: No USB connection, but I knew that when I bought it

Great sound- when it works
Guest from Libertyville, IL on 7/6/2018
Updating my earlier review. The WiFi connection is nothing but a hassle. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. NAD product is terrible, so when the NAD is having a bad day, which is all too frequent- I'm back to playing music off of a $100 Bluetooth speaker instead of my NAD and B&W set up. I think I would just do a couple Sonos speakers and my phone if I could do it over.

So far I love this amp.
Crutchfield customer from Lawrence, KS on 6/7/2018
I am using the C 328 with Magneplanar MMGs and a subwoofer. I replaced a big old Kenwood amp that died and chose the C 328 on the basis of reviews and how well it drives low impedance speakers. The design, a development of class D amplification, also appealed to me. The sound is excellent, transparent with no obvious coloring, contrasting with the "warm" sound of the Kenwood. Although I did not find a full manual in the box (easily found on line at the NAD site), set up was extremely easy. So far I have used it with HD files delivered by optical input, standard audio files delivered by optical input, vinyl via the phono input, line input from a television and from an iPad via bluetooth. In each case the sound was as good as one could expect from the source, often better than I anticipated. The only minor glitch I have had encountered is that twice it has lost its bluetooth connection to my iPad, perhaps when my iPad was auto-updating, and it was difficult to reestablish the connection. I had to switch off the amp at its switch on the back and then the connection was easily re-established. This is a very minor problem, however, hardly worth mentioning. Overall, I love this amp. I think NAD has fully accomplished its goals with this amp.
