Convenient earcup controls
The left earcup features a combination of hard buttons and switches plus a touch panel for intuitive control of music, calls, and various headphone functions. Tap the earcup one time in the centre to pause or resume music playback, or swipe up and down to skip through tracks. While Audio-Technica doesn't officially classify these headphones as "noise-canceling," there is some active noise cancellation circuitry on board, which gently reduces external sounds, mostly in the lower frequencies. A dedicated button on the left earcup engages the "hear-through" function, which uses the built-in mic to pick up external sounds, so you can hear them better without removing the headphones.
High-res ready
If you want to get even better sound — for instance, if you want to listen to high-res audio files — Audio-Technica provides a 3.5mm audio cable for wired operation. When they're plugged in this way, the headphones offer impressive frequency response all the way up to 40,000 Hz on the treble end.

Overview: The Audio-Technica ATH-SR50BT over-ear wireless headphones deliver high performance and the convenience of Bluetooth wireless technology. When used wirelessly, you can listen to your music or answer phone calls without a physical connection to your smartphone. When plugged in, using the included 52" audio cable, you get the depth and clarity from a high-resolution audio source. You can store your headphones and cables in the included vinyl storage pouch.
Bluetooth: The headphones are equipped with Bluetooth version 5.0 and a built-in microphone, allowing you to listen to music or your phone calls without a wired connection. The headphones are compatible with aptX, AAC, and SBC codecs and A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, and HSP Bluetooth profiles. Maximum wireless range is 33' (line of sight).
A-T Connect App: The Audio-Technica Connect smartphone app provides additional features for controlling and enhancing the performance of your A-T headphones. With the app, you can control the pairing and unpairing of Bluetooth devices (up to 8). Connect displays the battery level as a percentage, and the Bluetooth codec in use. You can change the Bluetooth codec used by the headphones, and customize the button operation to your preferences. The Connect app is available for iOS devices (10.0 or later) and Android devices (6.0 and up).
Active Noise Reduction: Active Noise Reduction electronically shuts out ambient noise, so you can listen to your music or phone conversation in peace. Built-in microphones pick up environmental noise, while ANR circuitry inverts the signal to cancel out the noise, so all you hear is your music or conversation.
On-board Controls: The left earcup has touch-sensitive controls for music playback and conducting phone calls. Controls include volume up/volume down, next track, previous track, pause/play, answer call, and end call. The Hear-Through feature instantly decreases the volume with a press of the NR/HT button, to allow you to quickly listen to voices (conversations, announcements, etc.) while wearing the headphones. You can switch between Active Noise Reduction (ANR) and Hear Through (HT) by placing your hand over the touch-sensitive controls on the left earcup for two seconds.
Battery: The Bluetooth and ANR are powered by a built-in 3.7-volt Lithium-polymer rechargeable battery. The battery charges in approximately 5.5 hours via USB. A fully-charged battery lasts up to approximately 28 hours, with Bluetooth and ANC on.
Drivers: The ATH-SR50BT headphones are equipped with large, specially-designed 45mm drivers that are capable of Hi-Res Audio with a wide frequency range (5Hz-40kHz, with a wired connection). When listening wirelessly, the frequency range is 20Hz-20kHz.

overall a really good set of headphones but it doesn't go super far into the bass category. good in a work environment if you want to just drown out the noise or if you need to listen to whats around you with the different modes.
