Memphis Audio created the M7 Series M71212 12" subwoofer for high-performance bass reproduction. The polypropylene cone has the stiffness to maintain high levels of accuracy, while its double-stitched rubber surround helps to maximize and control excursion. The vented cast-aluminum basket keeps things cool, and virtually eliminates resonances that can colour your bass.
Handles plenty of power
The triple 2.5" aluminum voice coils combine with a 120-ounce magnet to handle up to 750 watts RMS, so make sure you have plenty of power on tap for these big boys. Easy-to-use colour-coded jumpers allow you to wire the sub for 1 or 2 ohms for system flexibility, great news if you have a high-performance mono sub amp.

Features
Terminals: One pair of spring-post input terminals offers easy connection of pin connectors or bare wire up to 8-gauge. They will also accommodate many single banana plugs, but the post is slightly recessed, so some banana plugs will not fit well. The binding posts are spaced too far apart to accept standard dual banana plugs (¾").
Selectable Impedance: On the opposite side of the basket from the input terminals, there are four "shorting" spring terminals. Depending on how the included jumper wires are connected to these shorting terminals, the input terminals present either a 1Ω or 2Ω load. The power handling is the same for either setting; 750 watts RMS/1,500 watts peak.
Sealed Enclosures: Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music. Memphis Audio recommends a sealed enclosure of 1.5 ft³.
Vented Enclosures: Vented (or ported) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from a given amount of power. Memphis Audio recommends a ported enclosure of 2.5 ft³ with a 5" x 5" x 27" slot port, yielding a tuning frequency of 36 Hz.
