Gauge-Style Marine Receiver: The Memphis Audio MXA1MC is a 3" gauge-style receiver with marine-grade construction for your boat, vessel, or other watercraft. It fits perfectly in existing 3" gauge openings on your boat. If your boat does not already have a 3" opening, the MXA1MC requires a round cutout in the bulkhead for inserting the chassis. The integrated protective gasket, supplied U-bracket, and included hardware secure the unit in place against the mounting surface. Receiver dimensions:
- Chassis: 3.5" (diameter) x 2.625" (depth)
- Face-Plate: 4.5" (diameter) x 1.375" (depth)
- Cutout: 3.6" (diameter) x 4.0" (depth)
Note: The receiver is round and does not include a mounting sleeve or ISO-mount screw holes to accommodate standard automotive installation.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The marine receiver supports wireless audio playback (AD2P) and control (AVRCP) of a Bluetooth enabled smartphone or tablet. The marine supports playback of stored music, music apps, and other audio content on your Bluetooth-enabled source device. The marine receiver will be able to control basic playback functions, such as Play/Pause & Previous/Next Track. Advanced music browsing will still need be done via your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone. This unit does not display song/artist information.
Note: This unit does not support Bluetooth hands-free communication for making and answering phone calls.
USB Port: The Marine receiver is equipped with a rear-panel USB (type-A) port attached to the chassis by a 6" pigtail and comes with a 39" USB extension cable. The USB port allows you to connect a USB thumbdrive. The unit supports audio playback & control of MP3 audio files stored on a compatible USB thumbdrive. The unit offers Play/Pause, Fast Forward/Reverse, Previous/Next Track, and Repeat Track playback functions. This unit will also display song/artist information.
Note: The receiver's USB port does not support Apple iOS or Android OS devices. The unit will also not recognize a USB hub or card-reader.
Aux Input: This unit also features a rear mounted 3.5mm auxiliary input on a 6" pigtail, so you can connect an external audio source that features an analog output or headphone jack. You will need a stereo minijack to RCA adapter if your external audio source has stereo RCA outputs (and not a minijack output).
AM/FM Tuner: The marine receiver features a built-in AM/FM tuner with manual, seek, and preset tuning. The marine unit provides 3 FM banks and 2 AM banks. Each AM/FM bank can hold up to 6 station presets, proving you with 18 FM station presets and 12 AM station presets. Stations can be stored automatically, six for each band, using the APS (Auto Preset Store) button.
Note: You can select either US or European tuning.
LCD Screen: The marine receiver features a single-line LCD screen with a white background and black text that is easy to view in the day or night.
Built-in Amp + Preouts: The marine receiver is equipped with a 50 Watts (Peak) x 4ch amplifier. The marine unit is also fitted with 6Ch/2V RCA outputs (Front/Rear/Sub) to connect external amplifiers and sub. You can adjust the subwoofer preout level independently from the unit's overall volume level.
Note: The unit's sub preout is full-range and does not have a built-in low pass filter.
EQ: The marine receiver features 5 preset EQ modes - Flat, Classic, Pop, Rock, or Off. The marine head unit also offers independent Bass & Treble control; plus Balance & Fade adjustment. When listening to music at low volume levels, the Loudness feature will boost the bass & treble response.
Optional Wired Remote: The gauge-style marine receiver features a 3.5mm wired remote input for compatibility with Memphis Audio's wired remote control (953MXA1MCR, sold separately).

great product! it is everything the description says it is. love the fact that has 3 sets of pre-outs for front, rear and subs. souunds great on the pontoon boat.
