Russell Gulow's 1995 Nissan Hardbody

Items installed:

  • 1 10.4 inch Raw screen
  • 1 Sony PlayStation 2
  • 1 Panasonic Ghost Face in-dash receiver
  • 2 MTX 10 inch subs
  • 2 sets of MTX component speakers in the center console
  • 1 set of MTX component speakers in each door
  • 4 MTX component crossovers
  • 1 MTX 895 series amplifier
  • complete fiberglass enclosure

Installation Description

Due to the complex nature of the overall install, I enlisted the help of Extreme Concepts in Boaz, Alabama. The dash has been reconstructed, as well as the headliner, pillars and back panels. The pillars now are molded to the headliner, which is molded to the back panels, which is molded to the speaker enclosure. The whole install took about a week for them to build, a week to get painted, and three days to put in the equipment.

Q&A Section

Why did you decide to upgrade your A/V system?

For competing in car shows.

What's the first thing you show people about your installation?

The dash is what people see first, but I feel the whole install is cool.

Why did you choose these products?

Sponsorship with MTX, and the products are good.

What was the most difficult part of the installation?

Transporting the truck back and forth to the two shops.

What plans, if any, do you have for future upgrades?
