Bluesound POWERNODE Edge
Dennis from Milwaukee, WI on 1/20/2025
great sound set up from Bluesound power node to speakers pretty easy. However setting up TV sound to work through the power node and to my speakers different story. With help from Bluesound I was eventually able to accomplish that as well but it took some time. With that said I would have to add I am not a tech person.

Great for a small room - streaming & grouping works well
Marcel from Bakersfield, CA on 10/16/2024
I've been using the Powernode Edge in my home office for 2 months now (replaced a Cambridge Audio minx streamer that was about 8 years old. Using the CA SX50 bookshelf speakers I bought 8 years ago. I chose this model for the form factor and compatibility with Roon. It has been performing flawlessly the entire time, both with Roon (solo & grouped w/ other streamers) and BluOS (solo & grouped). Also use the analog input for a CD player (works great once I figured out how to activate the analog input in BluOS).

A Very Happy Surprise
Catherine from BELLE MEAD, NJ on 7/27/2024
I purchased this amp to go with my Q acoustics 3030i's. Originally, these were in my office. But after a home renovation and the realization that I can't deal with metal tweeters (twitchy tinitus), I swapped out the main system (KEF LS50 Wireless 1), for this system in the living room. It handles the move from streaming to the TV without a hitch. And for me, the clean sound of direct digital has been astonishing. I thought with 40 watts it would be underpowered, but nope. It gets PLENTY loud. I've been using it, all day, most days since March and it's been a total tank. It DOES sound different from the Powernode, literally a little "edgier." It took some time to get the subwoofer dialed in I'm not sure why, but you need to be patience on that. But if you don't need any analogue inputs, this is a really great amps. I ditched analogue about 10 years ago, because arthritis is just munching my hands. Albums, tone arms, and those $##@! CD cases are the pits. Anyway, if you are into Hi Rez streaming, this is a great and cost-effective way to go. It's been a very happy surprise!
Pros: Clean, clean, clean sound. Easy to set up. BlueOS is super helpful with getting things SET and then for the occasional adjustment.
Cons: NAH

Very happy with the switch from Sonos Amp - easy to set up, intuitive app, plenty of available music services, adequate power! Great sound without the Sonos app issues.

Doesn't work with Polk XT20 speakers
Bill from Rio Rancho, NM on 3/6/2024
Purchased this amp & Wiim Amp from Crutchfield in the same week. (My first time dealing with Crutchfield. They have excellent service in every way!) I wanted whichever had the best sound and experience for small woodshop. I returned the Powernode Edge and kept the Wiim Amp. 1. The Edge had a continuous static sound when hooked up to my Polk XT20 speakers. The Wiim Amp did not. You can turn up the music to drown it out, but it was always there like a blank spot on the dial of an AM radio. 2. Hooked both the Edge and the Wiim to my Klipsch Reference tower speakers and the sound is clean, but lacking just a tad compared to the Wiim Amp. This is probably due to Wiim Amp having an equalizer while the Edge has tone controls only. The Wiim was more "open" in sound and punches a little harder on the low end. 3. The WIFI internal antenna is weak. BluOS diagnostic said fair signal at -65dBm. Wiim Amp displayed -55dBm and iPhone Airport scanner said the same thing. 4. Customer support via phone got a return call a day later but did not fix anything. More than a week later and I'm still getting emails saying "We will be able to help you soon but we are behind...", even though I told them I returned it. 5. Blue OS is better then Wiim Home, but it did crash (lock up) a couple of times and was finicky when connecting to WIFI (it likes 2.4hz). Once running though, it is a better OS. This isn't a critique of Bluesound products, just the Edge to the Wiim. Sorry Blueso
Pros: Small package Sounds pretty good OS is nice to use over competitors All in one system Lot's of streaming services
Cons: Does not work with Polk XT20 speakers Very weak WIFI antenna Very slow customer service response (days) Doesn't have the bass I hopped for

Finally whole house done right
Vance from Evergreen, CO on 12/10/2023
This device makes Blusound what it always needed to be, a whole house solution to you music needs. It works perfectly with my existing speakers and allowed me to get rid of Apple Airplay Express routers I have used in the past. Not only do I not need amps in my remote locations, I also do not need my computer on to listen to whole house distribution. I have wanted this capability since I first bought my NAD amp with the Blusound module.
Pros: built in amp sound as good as any retail consumer level component.
Cons: A bit pricey.

Great little amplifier.
P from Rochester, NY on 3/8/2023
Sounds great for an all in one device. The amplifier is clean and sounds like there is little to no distortion. For the price it is impossible to get a better sounding system using separate components. Highly recommended! When using a subwoofer with the built in crossover the device sounds like more power than the specs suggest.
Pros: Great sound, Roon compatitable, Great DAC. Great Software. Looks great
Cons: Power may be a little low for large or inefficient speakers.

Great amp
Kurt from Houston, TX on 2/26/2023
A high quality and very cost effective solution for adding distributed audio to a room. This works perfectly with Bluesound's phone app and also performs perfectly with services like Roon.
Pros: Good sound Low cost vs other options Roon compatibility
Cons: Only 40 watts - if you need more, Bluesound makes an 80 watt amp.

It sounds great. Just plug a good set of speakers in and you are ready to roll. I used it to replace my main sound bar. The music and Tv sound so much better. It is perfect for a small to medium sized room.
