Installation Description




Most of the install was simple and easy. I did have trouble fitting the box inside my trunk. To get it in I ended up taking the back seat apart, removing some panels, and hammering in part of the rear deck. I sure hope I don't need my spare tire anytime soon.

Why did you decide to upgrade your A/V system?

When I was about 14 or 15 one of my friends showed me their system and from that point on I was hooked. I will never own a car without a system in it again.




What's the first thing you show people about your installation?

The box. It hits like a sealed box but it is in fact ported. The ports are not visible unless you stick your head all the way in the box and look back.




Why did you choose these products?

I like to have high quality products but at the same time I'm a poor college student so I get what I can. For the most part I have high quality stuff, just none of it matches each other.




What plans, if any, do you have for future upgrades?

The amp is pretty big compared to the subs so in the future I want to get bigger subs, and I also want to replace all the stock speakers. I would right now but I'm a poor college student as I said before.

This is a picture of my car from the outside. Nothing too special but it's mine.

This is my head unit I put in. I wanted someting that looked nice and played DVD's and was compatible with my 80GB iPod while still being affordable. This did the trick. It looks good and sounds great!

Here is my cap and amp, sorry for the bad quality pic. I took it from my phone. I have them on the back of the box because there is no room above it or on the other side of the box. Plus it looks better if you can see the neon at night with the stereo turned up. By the looks of it I didn't have the wires cleaned up very well when I took this.

This is the sub box. As you can see it takes up almost the whole trunk. This is by far the best sounding box I have ever had. They originally had 2 JL subs in them but they weren't quite loud enough.

Here is a closer look at the subs. The are only the single voice coil but they seem to take whatever I throw at them. They are currently being overpowered but they still sounds as good as always (just louder)!
