Jeep Wrangler gets a Rockford Fosgate sound system

Crutchfield employee Jason had been dreaming of stepping up his sound, and when he saw Rockford Fosgate’s custom approach, he didn’t hesitate to install this Stage 5 system.

The Stage 5 system for Wranglers includes vehicle-specific harnesses, a set of 1" dash tweeters, a pair of 6-1/2" coaxial speakers in custom knee-panel pods, two amplifiers with digital signal processing, a roll bar sound bar with two 6-1/2" coaxial speakers, and two 12" subwoofers. That’s a lot of stuff, but Jason handled the installation himself and reports that the process was pretty painless.

"Installing the dash and knee-panel speakers was the most time-consuming part," he said, "but Rockford Fosgate’s instructional video was incredibly helpful."

The Rockford Fosgate Stage 5 system

The Rockford Fosgate system includes a 4-channel amp, a mono amp, and a digital signal processor pre-tuned for the Jeep. Plug-and-play wire harnesses and OEM-style enclosures with factory connectors ensure you won't have to cut wires or panels when you install the components.

Overhead soundbar speakers

The sound bar’s 6-1/2" carbon fiber-reinforced cones and 25mm dome tweeters deliver accurate sound, even with the roof off.

A pair of pounding subs

Rockford Fosgate also builds two stylish enclosures, each containing a thunderous 12" sub. Jason is impressed with both the look and the sound, "It lets cymbal splashes ring out, and lets me feel the kick drum in my chest, without taking up much cargo space! Unless you look closely, you wouldn’t know that it was modified."
